Since this was a last minute trip, we ended up at SSR instead of BWV...so no quick walk for us this time!
We did make a quick stop at Boardwalk though, and entered through WS.
In planning this trip, I knew there were two things I definitely wanted to try Tuna Sensation and the Fishermanss Pie. I havent been eating seafood that long, and I am trying to branch out. From my research, these were supposed to be the best things to eat. So when we started, I knew I had to pace myself!
First stop...France! DBF wanted to try one of everything, and I had to remind him we had twenty some countries to go. So he started with Braised Short Ribs in Cabernet with Mashed Potatoes.
So, I probably should have taken a picture after he cut it open, but the short rib was in a mashed potato package! We both liked this
DBF wanted to go back and get another.
I also got the Sparkling Pomegranate Kir, but only finished half
since I didnt really have any food in my belly!
Next stop
Belgium
the lines started early!!
We got the Freshly Baked Waffles with Berry Compote and Whipped Cream.
I really didnt have any interest in trying this, as it just wasnt that interesting to me, but boy was it good! We devoured it in seconds.
Next stop
Morocco. I had done my research and figured from the reviews this would be a place to skip
but DBF apparently hadnt done his! He marched right up and bought a Beef Kefta pocket.
We each took a bite
and decided there was way too much world showcase left to conquer.
On to Japan and the Tuna sensation.
Eh. It was just alright for me.
DBF, who can put the food away, had a hankering for some teriyaki chicken from Yakitori house. I only had a bite of rice and sauce, because well that is one yummy sauce!!!
I had made a trip to South Africa on my October trip, but had saved the Seared Beef Tenderloin with Sweet Potato Puree and Mango Barbecue Sauce for this trip.
The beef was very good, the sauce was spicy and sweet. The sweet potato puree didnt have much flavor.
Time for China! DBF decided that we should try not one, not two, but three things from China so we had the potstickers
The Xinjiang Barbecue Chicken Stick
And the Ginger Caramel Ice Cream
which I think is also sold at Lotus Blossom.
The Pot Stickers were good! We love the sauce and finished these off pretty quickly.
The Chicken stick, was okay, but we woudnt get it again.
The ice was super yummy
DBF, who is not very adventurous was very leery of this
but when I was done after eating about half
he finished it off.
I had passed up the lamb at Australia, because we had it last year, and I wanted to try the Lamb Slider with Tomato Chutney from New Zealand.
This was my favorite of the day. I really think the flavors of lamb, and the rosemary (I believe) roll, and the tomato chutney all went so well together.
We were getting ready to and I readied myself to try the Fishermans pie...but
the line was a million miles long. I decided a small bit of overpriced food, not matter how good, was probably not going to be worth that line.
All in all, I actually enjoyed my food better my first trip, but really was definitely glad I went back to try some more!
