We will be going to WDW for free dining sept. 23-30. We are a family of 5 and would like to sit next to a window at CRT (dinner) and next to the aquarium during dinnr at Coral Reef. Do you make those requests when you arrive for your ADR or can I call ahead to the restaurant once we reach our hotel? Thanks!

There is no guaranteed seating spot at any of the TS restaurants.
If you want a table with a view you will have to request it once you announce youself at the podium when you get to the restaraunt. You might have to wait (much longer than your ADR) in order to get a window seat, so be prepared.

good luck :thumbsup2

Also keep in mind that WDW is one of the most discussed and written-about venues in the country, so a very large number of guests request the best views, for just about everything. That often pretty substantially lowers our chances of getting such requests honored. However, we typically have a great experience regardless of whether or not we get a table with a great view or not.

Your wait and chances are better the earlier your ADRs and the earlier you arrive. Your CRT is probably locked in and there's not much you can do, but if you can switch your ADR time to the earliest time offered at coral reef, you should be ok. If you can't get the earliest time offered, try for about 45 minutes to 1 hour after the first time available.

Whenever I've asked for a specific view at WDW resorts it's never been that bad, and they usually work to accomodate it.

We sat by the window at CRT for Wishes over Spring Break. We waited only about 1/2 hour more than our ADR. I think if you are willing to wait they will accomodate. Let me say it was WELL worth the wait. The castle could not have been more magical. I would not do it any other way than with a window view.

We also requested a water side table at San Angel and got it with a bit of a wait. We also requested a seat on the floor at the Biergarten. Got that too.

On all of our trips we have never been denied a request anywhere as long as we were willing to wait. :goodvibes

ETA: We make requests at the podium.

Thanks for your help, everyone. I guess my main concern is that DS5 will have his cute little nose pressed against the aquarium wall at Coral Reef and likewise the window at CRT so would be much more pleasant for all concerned if we were actually the ones who were seated there. :) Thanks again............

Hehe.... I know the feeling.... I'd want to have my face pressed against the aquarium wall as well.

At Ohanas I asked to be by the window, but I also said I don't mind waiting either. Both times they came through. Same for CRT, asked said Hey don't mind waiting can you put us by the window, sure enough.
