TA vs. doing my own ADR

I'm going to Disney in October 2014 and will be booking through a travel agent. Part of the services provided is making ADRs for us. This is our first trip, and I really, really want to be able to take my girls to Cinderella's Royal Table. Do you think a TA will be more successful at getting the reservations? Or will I have just as much of a chance if I do it myself. Thanks!

About the same. You should have no trouble getting a CRT ADR for any day, any time you want it since you're still 180 days out. Whether you call when your window opens or your TA calls doesn't matter.

The only thing that could be worse is if your TA does not go on that day your window opens and books these and maybe leaves them to later in the day or week even. If you have a good TA they should be all over this.

Thanks for the reply. This is my first time using a TA ever and my first time to Disney with my kids. We will be able to make ADRs April 21st, so I still have time to do some research and make plans. Our TA seems good ... I just wasn't sure if they would be quicker and better at it since they know the process better.
