T.T.S's Doctor Who Series 3 Thread! Hope you had Fun! See you next Christmas!

Matt's Thoughts, again no particular order:

I really like Martha now, she is so smart! She has definetely proven to be a bit of a stargirl! :thumbsup2

Oooh Romeo And Juliet-esque opening? Turned to witchcraft very quickly..

I was wondering about the Martha and Slavery bit!

Voodoo? Sweet!

Anyone catch "Mr Saxon"? Missed it this week!

Set up for another episode with Queen Elizabeth, sweet!

Expeliarmous?? :lmao:

14 sides? I thought it was round! :lmao:

Otherwise, a nice episode, and lovely effects. Looking forward to new earth next week! :goodvibes

Oh and on the topic of "cluewords". I am slowly implementing my own one into this thread as we speak! :goodvibes

Look for clues in each of my Week on Week analysis of each episode. For each episode I am going to leave a clue, could be a word or a phrase, that links to something. It's NOT Doctor Who Related, however, it does tie in very nicely into Doctor Who.

The first clue has been put into my first week analysis, but i'll give you another clue for you to be nice!

ooo ooo ooooooo

(Don't get any bad ideas from that!!! :lmao: )

First to guess correctly wins BRAGGING RIGHTS!!! :woohoo: How cool is that??? :teeth:

Why was the Queen so annoyed to see, and recognise the Doctor!

Great episode, really enjoyed this one tonight.:thumbsup2

:rotfl2: :rotfl2:

I am thinking we should reverse the polarity here!

Well actually North of Barking!

So Martha is Shakespeares Dark Lady then, ????

Another thing I missed. :thumbsup2

Speaking of which, there is another thing we missed. Apparantly in the Christmas ep there was a Mr Saxon Reference we missed! :scared1:
Apparantly it was from Tank Commanders saying it was their orders, or something like that anyway!

I'm not good at noticing the unnoticeable! :lmao:

Last night's second episode of Doctor Who's new series 'The Shakespeare Code' was seem by 6.8 million viewers, a 35.8% share of the available audience. ITV's TV Burp which aired opposite the episode was seen by just 3.9 million.

Across the night the BBC consistently outperformed ITV with the corporation's shows taking the top five spots for the night.

ITV's top rated show was Vernon Kay's Gameshow Marathon with 4.1 million and a 21.1% audience share. Joseph had six million to ITV's four million on Grease.

Doctor Who easily won the night's ratings battle despite warmer weather and the Bank Holiday weekend leading to lower audiences across all channels.

David Tennant is to star in Learners, a BBC Films production for BBC One, which is written by, and will also star Jessica Hynes (nee Stevenson).

This warm, bitter–sweet comedy drama follows the trials and tribulations of a group of learner drivers.

Bev (Jessica Hynes, Spaced) is a downtrodden wife who has failed her driving test eight times. She's desperate to pass yet frustrated at her husband Ian's (Shaun Dingwall, Doctor Who) impatient approach when teaching her to drive.

When Bev meets glamorous driving school owner Fiona (Sarah Hadland, Confetti), she's determined to succeed, along with a group of other learner drivers.

Chris (David Tennant, Doctor Who), a devout Christian with the patience of a saint, is assigned as her instructor and it's not long before Bev develops a crush on him. However, Chris has feelings for Fiona, but she's having an affair with a married man Gerry, who works with Bev.

Jessica comments: "It took me ten years to pass my test – this year I finally did it so I could do the film! I had a great instructor, he taught me to take my time and relax, when I passed I cried with joy!"

Producer Ruth Caleb, Director Francesca Joseph, Jessica Hynes, Shaun Dingwall and Executive Producer David Thompson are reunited on Learners following their collaboration on Tomorrow La Scala, which scooped the award for best drama at the 2003 Indie Awards.
Jessica also received Royal Television Society, Bafta and Laurence Olivier Award nominations for Best Actress.
Learners will start filming in April 2007 on location in Hertfordshire and will transmit later this year.
The Executive Producer is David Thompson, the Producers are Ruth Caleb (Born Equal, Bullet Boy) and Luke Alkin (Dirty War, The Allotment), and the Director is Francesca Joseph (Tomorrow La Scala!, Four Last Songs). Learners was commissioned by Jane Tranter, Controller, BBC Fiction, for BBC One.

BBC press release for next Saturday.

The Doctor takes Martha to the planet New Earth, in the far future, as the third series of Russell T Davies's Doctor Who continues. But when they find the streets being ruled by the sinister Pharamacists, they must brave the ordeal of the mysterious Motorway in order to discover the terrible secret at the heart of the city.

David Tennant plays the Doctor and Freema Agyeman plays his new companion, Martha Jones.

Thanks for that Emporer Dalek. I've read about those too!

I like TV burp but I am not going to bother to watch the darned thing if Doctor Who is on! I was forced to watch Gameshow Marathon but I wanted to watch Doctor Who Confidental!!! :lmao: I finally did, this morning!

Joseph is one of those shows you put on if there is nothing else available. And with Dr Who Confidental, I think I am sorted! :thumbsup2

In other news, I appear to have a monkey tail, in the shape of a hand?????

Ooh that's cool. I saw an advert, and me and my sister have both said that the Sisters of Plenitude could be back!

Also in this ep is ex-my hero star Ardal O'Hanlon. Nice he is getting employment after My Hero Flopped.

Looks like this one is based on the M25, !!!!

Just watched Epd 2 again thoughts:-

  • No Mr Saxon.
  • When the main actor comes onto stage he says MASTERS
  • Familiy is a theme, brothers, sons, etc.
  • Rose has been mentioned in both 1/ and 2/.

Still troubled why Queen recognised Doctor and wanted him dead?

As the Doctor himself said: "I don't know but I can't wait to find out". Probably just the writers setting up for a future episode.

They are really keeping the quality up - it works on so many levels. Hilarious with all the quote references. So is it the daleks in next weeks episode then? And what will be the face of Bo's secret that is finally revealed?

Yes I think its like Martha seeing the Doctor in the road on the way to work, before meeting him in the hospital, then at the end he travels in the tardis, and the face of boe, we will meet three times.

I think we will know this series, I here the link is a trap being set for the doctor,

No it's going to be a New Earth Based Episode. And THEN they learn Bo's Secret.

The 2 weeks after that are all about Daleks in New York. :thumbsup2
