I had a problem last year with a reservation at rainforest cafe. Disney reservations were full but when I called the Disney reservation number, they gave me the direct number to rainforest and said to call the morning of the day we wanted to dine there. She also said these two restaurants keep a certain number of reservations open for the actual restaurant. We called that morning and got any time slot we wanted. I'm sure this will work for T-Rex as well.

We booked several months ahead of time calling the restaurant directly, after being told there was no availability thru Disney. But I don't know if it's 180 days like the rest of WDW.

Just curious, why would you go through Disney to book at this restaurant? It isn't part of the DDP, is it?

We reserved our table for the first night of our trip directly by e-mail about 4-5 months in advance. We had no problem getting the time/date we wanted, but it was a Wednesday, not a weekend, which may make a difference.

Where did you find an email address? I looked on their web site but just see a phone number and a contact form to set up an event. I would rather do it by email so I can print out something to have with me just in case.

That sounds very simliar to what happen to me on my recent stay. We wanted to eat at T-Rex first though they were just all booked up even after we had called.

We always had issues trying to make reservations through Disney for T-rex. Every time I call them directly, I can make them....

Last summer while at DW the girls decided they wanted to go to T-Rex for lunch so we just walked up and asked if they had any tables available and sure enough we were able to do a walk in. It was so nice to have that little bit of magic happen

Actually, I think that is what I used, their contact form. I just entered the required info and noted that I wanted to make a reservation for four and they replied that my reservation was made for the time I wanted.

I know we don't really have an event per say but it worked and I printed off their confirmation and will bring it with me. So, I would try that.
