Any thoughts on the T Rex Restaurant. Also is it included in the DDp?
Thanks

We just ate there on Monday. It was okay. We enjoyed the atmosphere. We have been to Rainforest Cafe many times and it is very similar. The food was okay. DH loved the chicken fried steak. My grilled chicken was over cooked, but veggies and potatoes were good. Kids had chicken nuggets, which were just okay and fries that they didn't care for.

I am glad we went, but will not be returning.

T-Rex is not on the DDP. We ate there 2 weeks ago. I have to say I might be prejudiced because I came down with the flu the next day, but, it was the noisiest resturant I have ever been in. I thought the top of my head was going to come off and explode. We could not hear our waiter and he could not hear us, we literally had to shout to each other. The line outside to checkin was at least 40 to 50 people deep just to checkin for your reservation. They were taking walkins, I don't know how long the wait was. I guess we waited about 30 minutes with reservations. The main problem was it was raining and there was no place to stand in line except in the rain. I was drenched by the time I got to the front of the line.

We found the food to be decent, much like a Friday's or Houlihan's. The prices were high, but it is DTD, so that is to be expected. I had chicken fried steak, my DH had a burger and our DGS had a kid's burger. No alcohol, I think the bill was somewhere in the range of $50-$60. That did not include tip.

We did notice that alot of tables were not eating entrees, some had just appetizers and alot just had the Volcano dessert. It is a huge place and can hold a very large crowd, but boy is it noisy, noisy, noisy.

Completely agree. My kids enjoyed T-Rex when we went in February, but it was insanely loud!

The food was fine. My husband said it tasted just like Appplebees but much more expensive.

We went in May. I had the burger. It was a burger. Yummy but just your average, oversized burger. Fries were ok. Now, Boyfriend had the ribs. those were so tender they just fell off the bones. They were very very good. He would go back just to get those ribs again.

Very loud, very VERY loud, but also very fun! Good food, took almost an hour to get our naco appetizer though :confused3

We really enjoyed T-Rex, yes it was noisy but I expected that. What I didn't expect was really yummy food (I don't like RFC much) and great service (RFC doesn't really have that either). My only complaint is that we still had to wait awhile to be seated with a ressie, because they were so busy.

The theming is amazing, especially the meteor shower and even with all the noise and everything my dd ate all her food and some of the app. Since she isn't a big eater, this makes T-Rex good in my book.

Build-A-Dino was a lot of fun too, but very crowded. We would definitely go back, but maybe for lunch instead of dinner, hopefully it won't be as crowded.

No DP. My parents and my son ate here and really liked it . Were going on 8/27 and can't wait :thumbsup2

I'm from Kansas City and went to the first T-rex when it opened (admist the horrendous wait times) for my dino-loving son. (We walked throught the Disney one earlier this year) If you have eaten at Rainforest be prepared for pretty much the same menu with different dino-themed names. The food at Rainforest has always been mediocre in my opinion and T-Rex seems to follow the same trend. The prices are also expensive for the quality you get. I have never been to either restaurant where the service was ever fast ( I have never gotten that...you would think that a kid-targeted eatery would make getting-food-on-the-table-quickly-to-avoid-meltdowns would be goal#1?! Maybe it's a Landry's thing?) The theming at T-Rex is wonderful and my DS loves build-a-dino. I much prefer walking around, looking at the decor, maybe going to build-a-dino and skipping the food. It is not worth it.

I would also like some more input on this restaurant. We have priority seating in August but am leery about going. My brother and his family just got back from Disney and said they almost ate there. They were taken as a walk-in. There was no line. They sat down and were given the menu. Children's hot dog was $8 and that didn't even include ff. They got up and left. They said the prices were ridiculous. Wondering, too, if T-Rex restaurant accepts TIW card? Found their menu on line but didn't include prices---hmmm makes you wonder  Any thoughts would be helpful. Thanks!

atmosphere is a B/ A+ if you have young kids. The food is pretty good, maybe a C+/B-

I will go again because I have a 5 and a 7 year old
