After trying for three months (using the web based booking system) I have managed to get a T-Rex ADR, ok, its for 10pm, but you know what, I don't care. I am going to be eating at T-Rex on the 20th August:goodvibes:goodvibes

I can't believe it's only 20 days to go... only booked 3 ADR's in total as we are staying on International Drive but I am so excited for them.

Bring on my holiday! :banana::banana::banana::cheer2:

If you want to eat earlier then 10, you can call them directly and get an earlier time. I'm sure someone has the number on here.

You can just show up early and put your name on the list. You'll have a 30-minute wait, tops..

407-828-8739 if that helps, its true, if you call yourself you will probably get alot better choices of times, Disney only has a limited number of slots at that location to choose from, I always get the time I want when I call myself.

Are you going to be on the Disney dining plan? If not you might want to look into the Landry club card, its $25 to join but then you receive a $25 credit on your first visit to any of their restaurants which includes T-Rex and Rain Forest Cafe (also at DTD). I can't tell you if its available for international visitors though.

I realize that you will be calling from overseas, but I have to say that I have never been put on hold and my whole reservation process usually takes about 2 minutes so if you decide to call you shouldn't have to be on the phone for long.

We have never had a problem walking up to T-rex, Rainforest Cafe like others said 30 minute wait or so a little look round the shop that half hour will soon be gone ::yes::

Waits were around an hour last May for walk ups. Might have just been a bad night (Saturday). I wouldn't count on 30 mins but you might get lucky!

Honestly though - ring them direct and I'm sure you'll get a better time. They only release a small percentage to Disney for ADRs and we have always got the time we wanted at both T Rex and RFC by calling direct when the online Disney system said there was nothing available!

When we went in August last year we waited less than 30mins and we has no reservationsn

The same thing happened to us when we made our ADRs back in feb, they only had lunch time available, so other half rang them and we got half 6 :) I'm very excited as I'm dinosaur crazy!! If you do want an earlier time, I would def call - as others have said as they're not owned by Disney, they only give Disney a small amount of their slots which is why it hardly comes up online. Either way, enjoy it!!!

T-Rex only issues a limited number of tables to Disney-think its about 10%
its probably why you've had problems.
you should easily be able to get a better ADR by calling them direct.
good luck :thumbsup2

we love T-rex, im sure youll have a fab time there.x:)

We also walked up and had a 20 min. wait this past May (Mother's Day). They had a sign out front stating availability. I agree with PPs about either calling direct or just trying to walk up.

I really like T-Rex and you just reminded me I have a nice little gift card for there so I think I may have to try and fit that beauty in!

Try using this number for cheap rate calling number to USA 0844 869 0044 (I use this all the time for work when I call USA and I can assure you it keeps the costs down on making those ADR's) and then add the T-Rex phone number when prompted.

I always call T-Rex direct to make reservations because like the Previous Poster stated they only give limited availability to Disney - you'll be better off booking direct over the phone and getting a time that is way better than 10pm! Let us know how you get on.

I called them directly yesterday and I could have had any time any day for the whole 3 weeks we are there. Definitely won't be trying to book via Disney for T Rex again. It was the quickest simplest reservation I have ever made. I used the cheap 0844 number but to be honest the call took less than a minute.

Thank you everyone who has helped. I called them today and spoke to a lovely man who has booked us in for 8pm on the 20th :cool1::cool1::cool1::cool1:

Enjoy your trip and your meal at T-Rex, its a fun place to eat and to explore while you wait for you food.

I got it for our second day there :) Booked online at our 180 days plus 10 date. Got the time we wanted. Keep trying and hopefully something will open up.

For me T Rex is one of the only Disney restaurants I would never go back to. The theming was fun and the service was okay but the food was just nasty. Also it was too noisy for me, but that's just a personal thing.
