T-Day Cruisers 2011, November 19-26th, 2011

I'm glad you stayed up....rofl........I set my alarm for 11:50 (MST), I logged in, the website was busy and I fell asleep. I woke up at 1:40, tried to log in and it was busy the 3 times I tried it.....I fell asleep. I thought when I woke up at 6:40 am that there wasn't a prayer that I was going to get anything. There was tons of Palo reservations, and the only thing I could see gone was the family cabanas on CC.

School starts for the kids in 2 days....I can't wait!!!!!

Here is a magnet DISign for Mel. I just put my last name on it, but I can customize it for our last names, or just do a blank. Let me know which everyone wants.

Also, I've just found a few MM Thanksgiving graphics. I'll do another with some characters in it. Here's the first.....





BTW.....this seems like it may be a cruise that is not very full. Does anyone think so???

Love the graphic! Glad you got your Palo's reservations.

I thought the cruise was sold out and it was just the thread that was not very full, but I could be wrong.

Though we booked this cruise...then changed it...then rebooked it (and had to pay more - stupid me)....I really was never 100 percent sure we were keeping it. Kids expressed an interest to do something different - a beach resort kind of vacation in November. So I haven't been posting here much. HOWEVER, after just getting off the Magic in Europe, the kids begged me to keep this sailing and I'm more than happy to do so.

Looking very forward to the Eastern itinerary. Are there any plans for a cruise meet for the kids of like ages to meet? I have two girls - one who is 7 but will be close to her 8th birthday on this trip; and one who will be 13 on this sailing. We had a meet in the Promenade lounge at 2:30 on sailaway day for folks to meet and it proved to be a great way to have the kids connect before heading to their clubs/labs and for us older folks to meet and have some familiar faces around the ship.

Just paid off the cruise this morning so I'm late in getting to reservations. Hope something is still available!

Glad you were able to come back. And I'm very jealous you got to do the European cruise! DH wanted to do the transatlantic back, but I said no to the kids missing that much school. So instead he booked the Thanksgiving one.

I'd be up for a quick meet just to get to know what each other looks like so we can at least say hi when we run into each other over the trip. 2:30 in the Promenade lounge would work as long as the Magic doesn't do what the Dream did and have the DVC member celebration at 2 on the first day. I don't like missing those because I love winning stuff. I even won the OBC one cruise.

So we were planning this trip to stay at the Airport Hyatt. Our flight gets in pretty late and we want to go to the port early and have done that before and it has worked well for us. Now that we finally have decided to do this cruise, I went to book the room and it's unavailable (could it be full?). Looking for any other suggestions anyone might have for what we can do. I think I'd prefer to stay near airport that night and then go to the port in the AM. Really liked the convenience of the DCL bus early (9:30 ish) from the airport but I guess we'll do a private towncar now from where-ever we stay. Anyone ever use the Airport Marriott? I can use points there so I might as well get it for free, eh?

Go for free! Everything else will cost enough....get it while you can.

I haven't stayed there, we have always stayed close to the port so we can get there early and return the rental car.

I am very addicted to DVC. It takes all my willpower to not add points every time I go on the cruise.

I think Palo's is very worth it. Not only is the food amazing but the atmosphere and service are well worth it.

I hear you, last cruise we added 220 points @ AKV... No regrets though as we love it there. Can't wait to see what the new offers are......

Looking at the food thread, I think we will both enjoy Palo. I am very glad we booked it, just hope that it doesn't interfere with any special themed dinners or the character breakfast. Oh well, we shall see.

I've heard it's worth it, however, I haven't tried it. I hate leaving my family for dinner. We have so much fun, I'm afraid we'll be missing something.

An easy way to gain your 10 posts to get to PM, post pics, etc. is to post here, just say "here's #2" next post, "movin' up here's 3", or whatever. Just put the number, it doesn't matter. Just keep posting till you're at 10.

Lori .... Thank you so much!!! Love them... Going to use one for our door and one for my FIL. And I am afraid of missing something with my DD at dinner time too, that is why I am just a wee bit apprehensive about Palo Dinner. But on the other hand, the food looks amazing!! Just going to see what happens. If anything else, I will cancel well in advance as to spread some last minute magic on another couple.

I love the FEs. I saw all of them on our last cruise and they were all so beautiful. We did take a tour of the all of the decks just to see how everyone decorated their doors.

I've just started planning for this cruise - I know I'm way behind.
