Lori... the concert was great! Really should have brought the ear plugs! But I think it will be a wonderful memory for my daughter. She is still talking about it and hasn't taken her shirt off except to let me wash it and right back on it goes... ha! Pickles sound yummy. Our garden has been over taken with weeds this year.. So it is not doing so well... I actually had to buy zuchinni the other day. First time in years.

Shay... I am with your husband. I just downloaded the recipe for the Konk and will be getting the stuff this week. I watch my intake too, but on the weekends, I cut myself some slack for a drink or two... And now that I found the crystal light mojito mix, I am good all week long... Hope you made out okay with your daughter's furniture... I know my husband wouldn't want to take it apart either... He would probably try to improvise..

I love that Crystal Light Mojito mix too! I have the Appletini one to try next.

We are still waiting to hear back from Ikea on the warehouse search for our missing box. If they call and say take it all apart to get a new bed, we will probably just say if we take it apart, we are sending the whole thing back for a refund and we'll get an already made bed somewhere else.

I am so ready for this cruise but we have a lot planned between now and then. A week at the beach next week, my 40th birthday in September with a trip to Disney for the 5k and Food and Wine Fest, a family trip to NYC in October, then finally the main event, the cruise in Thanksgiving. We ended up saving all our travel for the school year rather than over the Summer. No reason, just happened.

So far, I'm still the baby, as my friends tell me. And I have the most recent baby. Luckily, she won't care that there are no other kids her age in the group. She makes friends easily or is fine playing alone.

I need to start thinking of FE ideas. I'm feeling too lazy to actually make anything this time.

Lori... I, too, see the pattern... this is going to be one great cruise! Well we know that the mixology class will be full! HA! Also my DFIL would like to be included in the fish extender as having his own cabin. I will let you know his room number when we get them, right now it is a GTY. He is already busy getting things... And I had his fish extender made this past week. I think he is more excitied than me. HA!! His name is Ted. Thank you.

I have already started planning our fish extender gifts also.

Hope everyone has a good week. School starts here in less than a month so I am busy getting supplies, clothes, and the house in order. Geesh, it never stops.

It was yummy! Even better than the mojito, if you like sweet semi-apple tasting drinks. Not sour at all.

That's sweet that your FIL is excited about the FE. Disney cruises tend to make everyone feel like a kid again. I'm working on mine.

Won't have to worry about that on the cruise though... they can't eat until their hearts are content. Hope the Magic is prepared! I just can't figure out how they stay so thin... beats me... Wish I could eat like that.

Hope everyone is having a great week. Took my final last night so I am officially done with Macroeconomics! YAY! I get a two week vacation from classes until the fall semester begins... Time to play with my Cricut! (I still have to work though )

Also, does anyone know about Blackberry messaging on the ship to home? Need to figure out if I have to do anything special in order to avoid sticker shock or roaming fees...

Also is anyone else staying at the Raddisson the night before? Would love to have a cocktail or two by the pool bar...?

We're staying at Comfort Inn, and unfortunately by the time we get off the plane and get our car and drive to Cocoa Beach, it will be kind of late.


We had Blackberry's on our last 2 cruises. The internet doesn't work, the texting does, it is at a higher rate than normal. Check with your carrier. We are with Sprint, and if I remember right from January, it was .30 cents for incoming texts, .15 cents for outgoing....or vice versa. Calls were $1.75 a minute? So bearable for being self-employed and checking in. It beats $7.00 a minute on the ship.

Also, it can depend on what ports you are in. Congrats on finishing your class!

We drive up the morning of the cruise, so we won't be able to meet up then. Hopefully, we can do a DIS meet sometime early on so we recognize each other throughout the cruise. Though I bet we will definitely run into each other at some of the tastings!

I noticed that you are on the DISign threads, you have some really cute stuff!! I love looking at everyone's stuff and seeing how talented everyone is. I was wondering if you were planning on doing any special design for the cruise? I would love to have something special to make into a magnet for the door, and if you were going to design something for your family, maybe you could make a plain one for us here on the cruise meet to use. I know you aren't available for the rest of the month, so no pressure!! I just think it is so cool that all of you designers are so generous with your talents and your time!! I am impressed!!

I am officially on vacation for the next week, so I am going to go start packing for the beach house we are renting starting tomorrow. It is so wicked hot and humid out, I hope the beach is actuallly refreshing or we may be hiding out in the A/C the whole time!

And now some dancing bananas for everyone! I love these!

PS I took 2 of my girls to see the GLEE movie today, I am a big fan of the show. It was so good! If you like the show even a little, this movie is definitely worth seeing! Have a great weekend everyone

I recommend trying to book a brunch at Palo's first since those times are limited only to the days at sea. Then try to find a few good nights you would be happy doing dinner there to give you choices. And if you don't get it, try when you get on board. They do hold back some of the reservations.

Thank you!!!! Keeping my toes and fingers crossed is really hard work!!! I really hope it's worth it!!! Meaning I hope I get atleast the Palo Brunch! Everything else is just added bliss!

My girlfriends and I are walking everyday and I start boot camp on the 16th of September so hopefully I will be in bathing suit condition. HA! I should specify that Boot camp is fitness program at our local gym, although they do have you outside running and going through the tires and nose to the ground type of thing. Should be exactly the extra motivation that I need right now. Seems when I turned 40, gravity and junk food have become my enemy! So now I must work on it.

I am going to have a busy fall, next semester starts in two weeks, only taking 4 credits though, as I work full time @ the college too. And of course there is the family too! Tired just typing this. Definitely going to need to unwind and relax in November !!!!!

Hi! It's been a while since I checked in. We returned from the Dream a few weeks ago, and my kids have both been at band camp since we got back, so it's been hectic. We rebooked this cruise on the Dream, but had to upgrade our rooms to get the OBC . While we all had a good time on the Dream, we're really excited to be going back on the Magic--our favorite ship!

We get to book Saturday night too. We definitely want Palo brunch and dinner, but we're still trying to decide on excursions. Does anyone have plans for St. Martin or St. Thomas yet? On past cruises, we did the Under Two Flags tour on St. Martin (just OK), and The Water Island Bike Ride (great) and the St.John Eco Hike (good) in St. Thomas. Does anyone know if there are any motorized water vehicles at any of the beaches in St. Martin? That's what DH is looking forward too.

I can't believe it's just over three months till we're back on the Magic!

Thanks! It is a lot of fun to do, and fun to pay it forward. There are some DISigners (most no longer DISigning) that really made our first two trips special. I learned how, and it is very rewarding to see people post that my DISign brought tears to their eyes (as it did mine when I first saw them), and made their trip special.

I don't mind trying to come up with something. Part of my FE gift will be a magnet (most likely) but it is not my DISign...pretty funny, huh? Give me a little time, and I'll make something we can all use.

Glad you were able to get all you wanted! I have many pictures of Palo's Brunch. I don't plan on looking at any of the food porn threads any time soon though since I'm on weight watchers. It makes it very hard to diet when you see all that amazing food that you know you can eat as much of as you want.
