Switching resorts and using Magical Express

Ok, at first we were thinking of driving, now we can get a cheap airfare for our trip in August. If we fly, we want to use the Magical Express. My question is this: Does anyone know how it would work if we split our stay between two resorts? I understand how it works as far as transferring the luggage between resorts, but my worry is that when it comes time for our luggage to leave our final resort, it won't make it to the airport Any thoughts?

That should be no problem, Disney is used to guests moving around. Just let the reservationist know that you will be changing resorts and you should be all set.

Also on the check-out portion, you either take the luggage to the airline desk yourself, or call bell services, and have them bring it down for you. You have to be there when the luggage is checked and you check in for your flight, so don't think it will be a problem.

It's not quite like at cruises where you put your luggage outside your door the night before.

We just added a night at POP before our OKW and AKL stay, called to add ME after we got our airfare and had no problem. We are booked to arrive on Me to POP and are booked to return from AKL on ME.
