I have a BW GV booked for 1/3-9. Ideally, we'd like to switch that to another resort at the 7 month mark - another GV, Poly Bungalow or CC Cabin. (We love the BW GVs but we've stayed in them a couple of times and would like to try something new.) I'll need to use the points currently tied up with the BW GV reservation to make it happen, but I'd rather not cancel the BW GV until I am fairly certain there is a room available elsewhere. What's the best way to make this happen?
1) Call Member Services so they can make the switch? I prefer doing things online if possible -- eliminating the delay and possibility of human error --but will call if that's the best way.
2) Cancel the BW reservation online and immediately book the new one? If I cancel the BW reservation online, will those points immediately be available online to use on the new reservation?
Anyone have experiences (either positive or negative) they can share?
