Switching Pools because your Resort's Pool is Closed. Poly to GF?

We are checking in at the Poly on 2/13, staying though till 2/19... The Poly's pool will be closed during that time. We are apparently allowed to use the GF pool. Is it common to go to another resort because the pool is closed at yours?

And for those that know the Poly, how long does it take on the Monorail to GO to the GF? And Back? How long does it take to walk to the GF?

It's actually a really short walk from the Poly to GF-- not far at all, you can practically see the GF pool as soon as you start walking towards it from the Poly. Taking the monorail would take longer and be less convenient.

Oh, thank you Ilovestich, that is good news... Tell me, what forum can I post a question about a big reservations mistake made by a CM? I was just looking, and I have no idea where to post for advice. tia
