Switching at 7 months for Xmas week

I was wondering if anyone knew which resort would be more likely to have availability for Christmas week in a studio at the 7 month mark, Beach Club or Boardwalk? I will have a ressie at our home resort (AKV) at 11 months but would like to switch at the 7 month mark to one of these resorts and if I understand correctly, you can only waitlist one, so I'm wondering which one would be better. Thanks!

I'd say Boardwalk only because it has more rooms.

I was able to switch a reservation to BCV for Christmas though in 2008 - only had to waitlist 1 day @ the 7 month mark, and it came through over the summer, about 5 months out.

I think our dates were 12/21 - 12/28.

You can have 2 active waitlists per use year, so you can waitlist both if you only waitlist one sort of room at BWV.

the option with the largest supply of villas is BWV-preferred view (non boardwalk view).

We stayed at a BW preferred view room for Christmas week and changed from our home resort at 7 months. No problem with preferred or standard view rooms. All boardwalk views were long gone. Good luck!
