We are booked on the Dream for January of 2018 with two connecting deluxe family ocean view verandas. My husband and I will be in one room with our 3 little ones and my parents were going to be in the connecting room, but they just decided to cancel! We did this same trip in Nov of 16 and it was a little stressful with just two little kids so I think they aren't up for another round of chaos with a baby added into the mix as well. Now that we won't have the room next door (so great for when kids are napping or in bed earlier than us) we are considering a 1-bedroom suite. My big concern is how far forward the rooms are as I can be prone to sea sickness. I never felt any motion on our last Dream cruise on any deck (room was midship deck 7), but I worry about spending a ton of money to possibly get sick on deck 12 forward. Any good/bad experience to share about this?

The week we're booked there are only rooms left on deck 12 port side, but if I switch to the following week there are some on starboard which I prefer. Anyone stay in 12526 or 12524?

I've also considered two connecting staterooms like we have, but for the price it seems to be better to just go concierge?

Thanks!

I have not ran into any sickness issues when cruising 6 times on deck 12 forward. I have never stayed in 12524 but I have been in 12526. I would recommend 12524 that you will be a bit farther away from the Window cleaner rig. But honestly it never bugged me in 12526. Here is the view of CC from 12526 plus bonus Disney horns.

Up until this past cruise we've always sailed mid ship or aft and we noticed no seasickness or feelings of nausea while staying in concierge this past May (our first time staying forward)... if you can swing it financially I say book it! You can see the fireworks from those rooms too I believe, you'll love the convenience of the lounge being right there

I am not prone to seasickness, so I can't say how it would affect you, but I will say that when we sailed on deck 8 forward on the Fantasy, we felt a lot of movement. It didn't bother me, but it was there & noticeable throughout the whole cruise. That was on the Eastern Caribbean route, though, so the Dream's Bahamian route might be gentler. And time of year might play into it, too. We sailed in December.

I can barely even feel the ship moving unless I go down to the lower floors, like 3 or 4, and the farther up, the less I feel it. If you were ok on 7 then 12 should be fine
