Hi all!
hope you're all well! newbie here!:wave2:

was hoping one of you might be able to answer this for me...heading to DLP in June for a week, staying at the SF, as the parks will be closed at 7pm during the majority of our stay was wondering if it is at all possible to use the pools at the other hotels for a small fee?

xoxo

hello and welcome to DIS

Unfortunately the pools are only for guests of that hotel so you wont be allowed to use them

Thank you!

I had a feelin that might be the case, after all it's one of the reasons people would spend more to stay in those hotels...ah I'm sure I can find something to keep us all entertained in the evenings!;)

xoxo

Hello plenty to do in the evenings. If you are going in summer the park will be open later. The village is great to have a meal in the evening, and all the hotels have bars and lounge areas. You can always go and sit in the other hotel bars no problem, just the pools cannot be accessed. Everytime we have gone I have booked an hotel with a pool. The past three years my husband and son haven't used it so we are at the Cheyanne this year. Their bar area looks great fun, like a big western saloon. I hear there may be live music also. I think swimming might be the last thing on your mind.

Have a great time.

Hi Roon,

Thanks for all the info! I've only been to DLP twice before and both times they were only very short trips 2nights/3days so never really needed anything other than somewhere to sleep so always stayed at the Santa Fe...decided to go for a week this year to experience all Disney has to offer but never occured to me to book a hotel with a pool...but I'm sure as you said if I had, like your husband and son we wouldn't end up using it..

from what you've mentioned it seems we'll have plenty to do in the evenings anyway(didn't get to experience the village ect... properly either on previous visits, way too tired after the parks) and won't even miss a pool, didn't realize you could use the bars in the other hotels too...thanks for all tips and hope you have a wonderful time too xoxo

I was at DLRP last June, the evenings were lovely after the parks closed at 7pm. I took DD for dinner after 7.30 every evening, then a look in the Disney Village shops, and one evening we had a stroll around the lake area near the Explorers hotel (we were staying there).

If I had longer than a couple of nights, I would also make time to visit the other onsite hotels, have a drink, or a meal, and relax in their public areas too :goodvibes

When me and bf went in March we didnt eat until the park was closed and after we had eaten we would go to the sports bar or hotel bar and have a few cocktails. To be honest by the time we had our meal and drinks it was 10.30 ish and wanted to head to bed by then anyway. Im sure you will find plenty to do if its in the disney village or back at your hotel.

We are staying at the Cheyenne in May on the 40% off offer which was too good to turn down:cool1: We stayed at the SL before and I originally priced it but it wasn't included in the offer for our dates, it was over 350e more, so I decided we could live without the pool:rotfl2:
However, our friends are at the NPB for 3 of our 5 nts, do you think we could sneak into the pool with them?

You have to show your Easypass to use the pool and I think that says on it how many are in your party so you may not be able to sneak in.

Your onsite hotel Easypass does say on it how many are booked into the hotel in the party.

How many of these cards do you get per party?
Assuming they get two of these cards with their room (?) their party is the same size as ours so they could give us one of thier cards?

They could possible do that. But would you want to risk them being asked to leave if you are caught :rolleyes1

If the pool is important to you why not price up the upgrade :thumbsup2

It's not that important, as I said above, it was over £300 more for our stay in May - I don't think a couple of pool visits are worth £300, it's just a nice bonus, as we don't spend much time in any hotel we stay in. We stayed at SL beofre and only used the pool once.
When we were talking to our friends we just thought it would be nice if the children could have some pool fun together. However, I do appriciate it's not fair as everyone would do it.

I've only ever had one Easypass per party when we've stayed in an onsite hotel. I don't know if you can ask for more when you check in, as they are pre-printed :confused3.
