Sweet Tomatoes is located at the intersection of Kirkman Road and International Drive. The Kirkman address is a bit deceptive as you cannot enter from Kirkman only from southbound I-Drive.

Sweet Tomatoes is great. We ate there twice last week while in Orlando.

Yes. Sweet Tomatoes is a buffet with an enormous salad bar. The specialty salads are wonderful. My favorite has a great mix of greens with bartlett pears, bleu cheese and pecans. It is yummy! Don't miss the broccoli salad either; it's delicious. They also have three different pastas, 4-5 different soups,and several different types of breads. They have a frozen yogurt sundae bar, lots of fruits and pudding for dessert.

I'm looking at my receipt from this past Friday night for the prices: Adult buffet price is $8.79, child's price is $4.49. We didn't order soft drinks, but I think they were $1.59.

Wow I never thought I would see my two worlds intersect.--WDW and Sweet Tomatoes ...I worked for Garden Fresh Restaurant Corp for 12 years and only left to pursue something outside of the restaurant industry. You should know that Sweet Tomatoes is not only a great restaurant, but is a great company full of great people. The CEO, Michael Mack, is someone who had an open door policy and is one of the most down to earth people you will ever meet. Funny too. It is amazing to me that every person at the corporate office is friendly and team oriented--many who I consider among my closest friends. I hope that translates when you are eating in their restaurants. You should know that Sweet Tomatoes also offers the Best Job Program--a restaurant industry first. If you meet certain performance levels, your store management will go on a 4 day, 40 hours a week work week. I was extremely proud to work for them and it's so nice to see that even guests outside of Sweet Tomatoes/Souplantation territories love it..........I just wanted to let you know a little behind the scenes information.

do you think they will honor coupons from a chicago newspaper? do they have coupons in the orlando paper? or any other source?

The old policy was that we would honor another region's coupon at our current coupon offer. So if Chicago's offer was dinner at 7.49 and Orlando was dinner at 7.69, they should say it's okay to use the Chicago coupon at the Orlando coupon rate.

You could always call and talk to the GM of the store.

We LOVED Sweet Tomatoes. We were there in Sept. Their lunch price then was:

$6.99 for adult
$4.49 for age 6-12
$1.49 for age 3-5
and 2 and under free.

We didn't get drinks and our total for the five of us was $26.16. WHAT A DEAL!! DH gave this the "Deal of the Vacation" award.

We love it there too & always make a point to visit if we can. DH & I had a huge fight there last time (our friend called to tell us our basement was flooded, so we were both stressed) but I'm willing to go back anyway!

In February 2004 they gave a AAA discount. I'm hoping they still do, as my sister and I are going in January.

I got some coupons while on a San Francisco visit last weekend. They expire on 1/15/05 so I can't use them. I have 4 lunch coupons ($5.99 lunch) and 4 dinner coupons ($7.39 dinner). Each coupon is good for up to 4 people. I will send them to those that pm me while supplies last.

How far is this restaurant from the Polynesian resort. We definitely want to hit that restaurant at least once but have no clue how far things are apart.

I didn't think to ask about a AAA discount, but I will if I go next month.

I'm not sure how far from the Polynesian, but it's up by Universal. I would guess 20-30 minutes with light traffic, but maybe someone who has actually made that drive can help you. We've gone straight from the airport before or when we were at Universal.
