SwanDolphin AP and Teach/Nurse rate

How do I check AP rates for SwanDolphin and Teachers/Nursing rates for Swan Dolphin? Do I have to call hotel direct or is there a code I can enter on the reservation website? What documentation is needed for the teacher/nurses rate?
 
Hi, Welcome to the DIS:)

I call the Resort direct (800-227-1500) when booking a Govt. Rate room(same as Nurse/Teacher Rate).

As far as proof goes, I've used my state govt. I.D., but I've read that a Certificate or License, or even pay stub qualifies as proof. Maybe someone else can help you more on that one.
 
I've checked on these rates too. DH is a govt. employee as well as a teacher. I had to call the hotels directly.

Dolphin 407-934-4000

Just don't get your hopes up. The rates are only good on certain days. We were told we could only get the $129 rate on three nights of our 6 night stay. The rate for the other three nights was $284 per night. We were told that for March the rate was only good for 3/12 - 3/25. Maybe your travel plans will match up. I hope so. We're at the AS Sports now. Hope you have better luck!
 
I have even used my nea union card at check in without any problems. You can also try dreams unlimited for the discount, I found them to have my whole 8 nights when the dolphin only had 5 nights. More days "open" too so if you prefer to book directly you can try every few days or so to get all the days you need.
 

Wow - try calling again to get the discount rates.
I was able to get 7 nights at $159 teacher rate starting May 23 (water view)

My husband and I contacted the hotel directly but later when playing around on the Dreams Unlimited Website, I found you could book through them. DU actually lets you look up rates for AP, Entertainment Card ($172 a night), AAA, and, of course, military, gov't and such rates. If you are not able to get the $129 rate for every night, the Entertainment Card is a really good value and you can buy your local Entertainment book so you can make use of deals for your home area. When we booked, I let them know that I do not have a state picture ID - they indicated that they just needed a pay stub with my name/address and license to verify. Don't forget - there is a mandatory $10 per day resort fee but from what I hear, it is well worth it (continental breakfast, unlimited coffee and water to take to the parks, use of gym room, newspaper every morning and such). Good luck - you can't get a better deal for a Deluxe - enjoy!!!
