We love the WL, but with no room only discounts being offered, we are going to look into staying at the Swan or Dolphin. The location is great, so we thought we would try one or the other, if we can get a good room rate. We can use our AP's.

For those who have stayed at the Swan or Dolphin, which hotel do you prefer? Thank you for any info.

We picked the Swan because of the bed size. The Swan has queen beds and the Dolphin has double beds.

We picked the dolphin because with our kids, we liked to be close to the pool and the food court/buffeteria and the laundry. We toured the Swan a little on our last trip, and we all decided we definitely liked the Dolphin better - for us.

That being said, my BIL and SIL wanted to go to Disney for a long anniversary weekend and I booked them in the SWAN because they were going without kids and looking for a more romantic atmosphere. The Heavenly beds were a bonus too.

So I think it depends on what you are looking for.

Stayed at both - definately the Swan for the heavenly beds......however, you may never want to get out of bed.

Thank you for the information, I will keep it for future use. I just phoned the S/D and they are booked up or nearly full for some of the dates we wanted in Jan. and early Feb., 04. The lady said that Jan. and Feb. are big convention months for them. We will give them a call if we go some other time. It's just DW and I and those beds do sound great.

You may want to check back with S/D. They often release convention rooms that are blocked off for a group and then not reserved. Hopefully, you can book somewhere else and then cancel if a Swan room opens up. We like the Dolphin, too, and they have about twice as many rooms as the Swan. They are renovating right now and should be done in a few months. They are going to have something equivilent to the heavenly beds.

We just returned from a stay at the Swan in July and we had a room with a kingsize bed and a pull-out sofa. Would this work instead of a rollaway bed/cot?

I just returned from a stay at the Swan and enjoyed it very much, I would stay there again.
We did spend some time over at the Dolphin which is more convenient if you are planning on doing laundry during your stay. The Swan has it's own pool and the big pool is an easy walk from the Swan. The walk over the bridge to the Boardwalk is right out the back of the Swan too.
The Dolphin's lobby is really grand it has a completely different feeling to it than the Swan's which is very low key, but nice nevertheless.

I think we have the same room type at the swan in december.
Can you tell me anything about the room size? If we need a
roll away is there room? How was the room lay out ??

Thanks:bounce:

I think the rollaways are $25 as a rule, but we were told we could get it for free for our 3 year old. I don't know if it's based on age or how many in a room. We opted to get two doubles instead of the king & rollaway.
