Who constitutes a government employee? My wife works for a county run hospital and pays into the government (public) employee retirement system. Does this entitle her to the government rate at the Swan/Dolphin? We plan on going in May. If not, any way to get discount rates for the Poly? We are new to information on these pages and have found it very helpful so far. We just have trouble with some of the lingo but I am sure we will catch on.

Thanks
Charles

Welcome to the Dis!

As long as she has a pay stub with the county's name on it or an employee I.D. badge that shows that the hospital is government operated, she will be fine. Any government employee qualifies for the discount. Also teachers and nurses have the same rate.

Thanks for the info. The only problem is on her ID and pay stub only the name of the hospital is on them. There is nothing other than pulic employee retirement system (PERS) payments which indicate a government employee. Is that enough?
