I booked a room for one day the end of our trip in june.I will be staying at the swan club level for$244,is this a good price and is club level worth the extra money. The operator I talked to said the rooms were the same as any other room but you can go to the club level lounge...please sell me on the idea of spending the extra money and any other ideas.

Are you a Florida resident??? or a passholder??? Also, join SPG.com for free and you might get a better rate or at least a better view. We stayed Club level twice and lowest rate we had was $179 in May 2004.

I will get slammed for this, but the lounge was worth practically nothing to me. How much extra are you paying?

It is open for a few hours in the AM with a decent continental breakfast and a few hours in the evening with some snacks (some people claim they "filled" up there, I didn't) The evening hours were like 5 -7 so you can't go get a soft drink or something when you return from an evening at the park.

That is all you get.

They are right... unless you just want to feel like your living it up... it really isn't worth an extra $100

I have stayed club level at the Swan twice, both with a internet discount
with tax total was around 189.00 I have also stayed at the Beach club concierge and the poly concierge for around 350.00 a night what i found at the poly and BC was rude guests hording food yelling to other family members like their at home and we were intruding. Not so at the Swan I have never had a more pleasant staff the lounge was under control at all times the staff always asked how your day was and can i get you anything just super nice people. To me concierge is a level of service not lets book a more expensive room and see how much finger food we can eat to make it worth the money.
I would look around the internet for specials but i also would pay the 244.00,hey its cheaper than a hotel here in Boston

We stayed at the Swan in 2003 and stayed club level. At the time we got a rate of $179 per night. For that rate the club level was well worth it. For us (DW and DS3 at the time) it was really nice to go up and grab a nice breakfast, albeit not eggs, bacon, sausage, etc.., but nice. Also to come back from the parks and grab a snack is great too.

From what I understand the Disney concierge has a lot more to offer but wow you sure pay for it. Personally we can't justify an extra $100-$200 per night just to have a little extra food and free alcohol. For us the S/D club level is just right. This however is assuming that you get it at a discount rate as I would never pay rack rate for the S/D club level.

Hope this helps,
Andy
