good morning all!

gas prices are atronomical!!! of course they would be though...we're getting ready for 2 weekends of road trips! ugh...it's $1.79 this morning...

had a wonderful weekend!! dh decided that it was a "watch movies in bed while eating a bunch of junk food" kind of weekends. we turned our tv stand thingy around so that we could watch from our bed. and we made pizza bagels things, a few of the tgi fridays appetizers (bourbon glazed chicken strips and buffalo wings), and cheese popcorn along with a bag of baked doritos...put the food on big plates...popped in chicago...and just vegged. and that's where we atayed all day saturday too. we rented chicago, phone booth, and bring down the house. sunday, we had no choice but to leave the sanctuary of our room...we had to return the movies! we then hit borders...the mall...the library...and went home. for dinner...we had blackberry cobbler and vanilla ice cream! we both really needed a weekend like this! it was wonderful!!!!! but back to reality this morning...ugh...

i'm thinking of cutting my hair. i cut it off a few years back and i really liked the way it looked. i would love to do that again, but dh says it looked like a boy's hair cut. he likes it long and curly...it's a pain in the butt to take care of when it's long and curly! i can only do about 3 styles with it as my hair is VERY thick...it holds curl great, but it gets frizzy. i wore it straight for years...i would love to have laurie's hair from trading spaces...the red head...she has such pretty hair. but all that curl...ugh...time to start pouring over hairstyle pictures again!

Working in my new scrapbook, tonight. Yep, finally (after about three years) finished the first, and am now doing a lay-out of Justin being crowned Ruler Of The Realm at the Sword in the Stone show.

lovers......UNITE.........well I already took an allergy med this morning...my head wants to bust open......I have had three weeks of not taking anything.....so today is the last day before school starts...hahaha.......I am soooooooo excited.....back to my quiet house and only one or two kids at a time......dont' ya just love it....hahaha.....we are going to a cook out in NH on Saturday.....I have to bring a tossed salad for 20-25 people.....oy oy oy.....that is alot of lettuce ..tomatoes ......cukes.....red radishes...and onions..maybe a taco dip too just for the heck of it.........HOpe gail is having an awesome time and comes home to the flock......I just love being part of your flock....thanks for letting me

I'm the same way Ann...pictures everywhere...everywhere...everywhere...but for me its not genetic.
My mom had a place for everything and everything in its place. I knew her well but I was still in awe after she died.....and we went to sort thru things.......she was so orderly. For example...we'd take boxes down from the closet...first box was marked spring curtains for kitchen...opened it and there they were neatly folded....another box....spring curtains living room. All her pictures were in albums or neatly in boxes that were marked...all her paper work was so organized. I wish I could be like that

Morning all. You know how the Disney Visa card gives you a Disney $1 for every $100 that you spend? I earned $50 Disney Dollars last month.

So it's off to Ebay to sell off my extra pins. I forgot how much of a pain it is to setup pages for selling items there. I also didn't realize that there are 231 pages of Disney Pins up for sale right now. I'm not sure how anyone finds what they are looking for on Ebay. It took me nearly 30 minutes to list one pin. I guess I'm a bit rusty.

ann...dh is coming around on my hair. we talked this morning and he backed down...only requesting that i don't plaster it to the side of my head. (i never did that before, but i guess that's what he thought it looked like ) i'm going to get it cut...i just don't know when. he was happy for that i gave him 2 years of long and curly. he told me this morning that the biggest reason he wanted me to wear it that way was because that's how i wore it when we were teens. and that's the image he had held on to for all these years...but he's ready for a change too. i know how i want it...what do you think?

sue...some days i wish that i had weekdays off instead of weekends! the stores and stuff are much quieter on a weekday!

debbie...heck if the first day of school means that summer is over, i'd gladly take it right now!! this heat is horrific!!! it's a good thing that i have AC in my apartment, office, and car. i'd surely melt!!

we paid $1.76 this morning i think...INSANE!!!

i am so unorganized it's pathetic! i am totally organized when it comes to planning my vacations or road trips or anywhere...but pictures, paperwork, whatever else...it's a mess. at least we have all of our wedding photos and honeymoon photos in albums though! my goal is to be better organized when we move into our house! yeah right...

kids were total animals.......all of them.......thank goodness they are not mine.....they are their families problems.....today my granddaughter Kaitlynn had her ortho doctor recheck and he said she has a tumor in her elbow........it is benign thank goodness.....she is also the xray of the week....this type of tumor has never been in the elbow only in the knee.....and they have not seen a knee one in over five years....now this is a big big practice......so they leave it alone and if it really starts to hurt her more ....they will consider the types of treatment.......just thanking god for it being a good tumor....and not a bad one.......

Chocolate chip muffins?? I got one for DD at Shaw's last night for her first-day-of-senior-year breakfast this morning. Took pictures. waaaahh...last "first day of school photo". Next year I guess it will be "moving into the dorm" photo--hopefully

wow! dan's becoming quite the regular poster in here! nice to see you!!

morning everyone

i've gotten myself wrapped up in writing a story. ugh! i am involved in a fan fiction group who writes stories based on gone with the wind and the (yucky) sequel scarlett. i've never written an entire story before though. i've stuck to the round robins. (in case you don't know...that's where there's a storyline presented and everyone writes a chapter here and there to keep the story going. kind of like a "choose your own adventure" story) anywho...this is really taking a toll on me! i'm co-writing it with another gal i met through the gwtw fan fiction club though so at least it's not all me! the ideas we have for this one are great, but difficult to actually put it down on paper...i can't believe i agreed to do this...

some yucky storn rolled in here this morning. i drove to work wearing my sunglasses...the sun was shining...it was a little cloudy, but nothing major. i get to work...get settled at my desk...and i notice that it's gotten quite dark outside. it was pitch black out there! loud thunder...bright lightning...then the rain began...it came down sideways in sheets! all's quiet out there now. cross your fingers that nothing yicky happens today weatherwise! maybe this will cool us down! the high today is supposed to be 92!!

DH had another online chat with the mother of his son yesterday...ugh...exes!!!!! their conversations always start out promising but then she resorts to belittling and finger pointing and insisting that HE owes HER explanations. he owes her NOTHING!!!! when they divorced, that was the end of the explanations. as soon as the conversation turns to us seeing his son, it gets ugly...

oh well...at least some of us know how to act like adults.

i'll just sit over here and continue to nibble on my fat-free cranberry-orange muffins...

DD hasn't heard from my ex in over two weeks (the big blowout). She's as stubborn as he is, and since I am no longer in the mode of encouraging her to maintain a relationship with him, it will be interesting to see if he takes the first step. I know she won't. She'll be turning 17 in lesss than 2 weeks..........he'll probably use that as a reason to call and berate her for not calling him

Everyone must be busy these days.....but guess what...tomorrow's my Friday!! I LOVE theres short weeks!!
