SWA-Summer Sale WATCH!

Hi, Since dates for SWA have now been released thru Sept.12th,MAYBE a SUMMER SALE will not be too FAR away?? I have noticed that SWA has INTERNET ONE WAY FARES of $59. thru JUNE 15th. After that INTERNET ONE WAY FARES are $122. BUT the next catagory up of fares is $124. I am waiting for middle to end of JULY and my dates are a little flexible,so I am hoping they will at least have something lower than $122. (one way) for us SUMMER in WDW people! Anybody WAITING with me for SWA SUMMER FARES to DROP?? Joan

Just booked SW 6/6-6/10 for my boss & DH....$135.00 rt.each! PVD-MCO 1st flight out in the morning and last flight back at night!! 5 full days at WDW!!
Last minute trip for her and believe me....She's just thrilled!

I'm not sure what to do. Right now it would cost $583 for two of us to fly from Albany to Orlando. Last year, the same exact dates cost a whopping $275. That's double from what it was last year. As someone who defends and promotes SW to everyone I meet, this is quite disappointing.


I think I'll wait, and if nothing comes up, well, I'm not sure what I'll do.

Not buying at $261.00 rt for end of August. I will wait for a sale. We are traveling midweek so I'm hoping for the rates to drop. Normally I would book immediately upon the schedule release but not at these rates...

I'm with you. I'm booking for my SIL's trip that I'm planning for her family and I am not going to allow her to pay the fares that SW has for late August right now. LOL! They are waaaayyyy over the top. Based on what I've experienced, we will probably see some intermittent fare sales over the next several weeks that may or may not include $59.00 one way fares from PVD to MCO. Because of gas prices, they may have to push those up to $79, but that's still a heck of a lot better than $122.00 one way.

I'll be with you all waiting for a sale...I did book today but only because I was too afraid to have nothing come out later on. We ar going on a cruise and our dates are firm...we are flying to PVD to MCO 8/30 and returning on 9/3 (Sunday of Labor Day) I figured it would be slim chance we woudl get a Ding for a holiday weekend and I was afraid to see the price get even higher I am hoping at least we can get a sale or Ding fare for the trip down.

Well, I would suggest you all wait, at least that is what I did. I had been waiting since about February, every day, all day, I would check SWA. Just when I gave up hope and was about to book with Airtran ($99ow), last Friday they (SWA) opened up $59 ow from MDW to MCO 6-16/6-23. I think they opened up in a few other markets as well, so sometimes it does pay to wait. The trick is to always check at all times of the day, because you never know when they will open a lower fare. Hi Joan,
I booked it today even though I'm not thrilled with the price. We are going with another family so need 10 tickets! I did book my families as one way so that if a DING or another sale comes up before our travel dates I will switch to the lower fare. I booked a trip to see my mom flying into and out of Tampa in June for $59 each way. Hoping I can get a similar rate in August.

I am waiting to book my return flight from MCO to BWI on June 18. I booked thru DING for our flight down, June 9 at $36 which was fantastic. I am worried that I won't get anything on June 18 cheaper than $131. Even coming back on June 19 is still $79 and for 5 people that is a lot. But if that's what it is, that's what I'll do.
I'll wait a bit longer......

I've held off getting our air tickets from ALB-MCO Aug 16-23, because I was waiting on SW. Well, SW came out, but US Air's(and Continental) fares went up $50 since yesterday! SW will cost us $1087.40 for 4 of us- $271.85 each! $1058.80 for 4 on USair. I was really needing/hoping to get it for $1000 or less. Now what do I do? I haven't flown in so long, I don't know if I should keep waiting or jump on the USair tix. Any suggestions?
