OK please bear with me. I have never been to WDW in June. I usually go during Feb vacation and I know to book airfare ASAP when I see a price I can live with because they will only go UP in price.

So. . . my question for June is this. Right now I can fly 89/OW ($199/RT including taxes/fees) which is OK. However, I am thinking of booking OW now at $89 and then holding off on booking the return trip so that if/when the prices goes down I can apply the tickletless travel to the return trip. (I know I could just get a credit but doubt that I would be able to use the credit in one year).

So for you SWA/June experts should I book at $199 total or book separate OW and hope for a sale/Ding? It appears that a Ding would not come out until around the end of April for June flights and I don't want to wait too long and get nothing. We would be flying from MHT (Manchester, NH). Thanks!

I have a good friend who flies SWA out of Manchester all the time.. when she gets home from work I will show her this thread and MAKE her post some of her wisdom :thumbsup2

You run the risk of the price not going down only up.

Even if you can't use the Credit you can sell it ( they go for 80 to 90% on E-bay) of give it to someone else flying.

I paid the $199 for ours thinking it's the flights we want and not that bad of a price if it goes down and we are not going within the year then I will just let it go or sell it if it's worth it to.

Hi from NH also,

This is my personal opinion. We fly to Orlando out of Manchester 2 times a year at least. Flights are not what they use to be cost wise. I would book now as that is not a bad price. I would book each leg of the flight as 1 way. This way if there is a ding it makes it easier to change. If you end up with a ding then you have ticket less travel that is good for a year. The dings are only 45 days out and I think that is too close to wait for your return flights to be booked.

Thanks for the input! I didn't realize I could give the ticketless travel to someone else. That's interesting! I can live with the $199 so I think I will just book it. I am happy with anything under $200. Plus they are direct flights and great flight times so I think it is win win for me! It's been a long time since I had a direct flight and didn't have to worry about layovers and schedule changes or Delta going out of business. That is well worth a couple of bucks so I guess I have my answer and my airfare! Thanks again for the input everyone. :goodvibes

Last year we went over Feb. break....then I saw a Ding Fare in April for June and we went again!!!

I paid $49 each way for nonstop flights from Hartford.

So...it is a risk, but we have been able to get Ding Fares two summers in a row.
