Hi everyone!

Southwest Airlines introduced a new service called Ding. It is an Internet notification service. You can sign up for it on the SWA website. It sends you notice of limited time offers for great airfare. Unfortunately, there hasn't been anything between Houston and Orlando, but there have been some great deals between Orlando and other places. Here are today's offers:

I've been waiting for Baltimore airfare, and while it's only $10 cheaper each way, I'll take it! It'll save me $80 for the whole family!

I just called to get the pricing mentioned above and CM said that it's not out there on the system. She said to find out on what day did you get the "ding"?

You have to sign up for Ding on southwest's website. When you get dinged, you can book at that price through that link. My understanding is you can't book the deal by calling. The earlier DIng price was today through 2pm, so it has expired.

They talked about this on one of the morning news shows, and if I remember correctly there are only so many seats available at the price stated, so its a first come first served, when they're gone, they're gone, and not only do you have to book online you have to book through the Ding website that you have pre registered for, and some of my friends had problems trying to book through the Ding Website!

Other than than that, its a great idea! I'm sure other airlines are liable to follow instead of having empty seats!
