I e-mailed Southwest Airlines to ask when April was being released:
Here's the reply:

Hello very anxious traveler -

Thank you for contacting Southwest Airlines.
*Rates and availability for travel beginning April 1, 2006 through June 7, 2006 are tentatively scheduled for release on December 8, 2005. We do not
currently have a tentative release date for service beyond June 7. Thank you for your patience.
*Tentative release dates are subject to change without notice.

We look forward to hearing from you!

Sincerely,

Charlie[/QUOTE

Would you please tell me how to find the customer care section. I don't see it. Also, I too saw where SW doesn't accept email. Where on the site did you find an email address? Thanks!

OK I went to Customer Care, then clicked on Internet Help Desk and filled out the customer inquiry form. And 'Voullah'...they e-mailed me back with an answer.I don't know how accurate it is but I thought I would share it with you guys.
I can see everyone scratching their heads and rubbing their chins now but I really did get an e-mail back from customer service.
So come this Thursday (let's all cross our fingers and hope) we should be able to book our April thru June 7th flights....Only time will tell.....
Debbie

I also can't find any "Customer Care" or any "Internet Help Desk".

EDIT: I found it at the www.swavacations.com
Click "Customer Care", then click the picture of the guy with the headset in the upper right that says "Contact Us". Then there's a link to the "Internet Help Desk".

Apparently, Southwest Vacations thinks email is a perfectly good way of communicating even though the regular Southwest airlines business doesn't.

Loose Lips Sink Ships....but helps out disney lovers :rotfl: :rotfl:

Didn't read the entire thread, but from what I have read, I agree that I think that the next dates will open up this Thurs.

My reason is that just yesterday I called Cust. Svc. because I had $355 in airline credit that was due to expire on 3/17/05. I want to fly in April, so I called to ask for an extension. They offered me vouchers that I would have to turn in at the airport, but I like to book online and didn't want them. I very nicely asked for credit on my original credit card and they very nicely said "Yes", since the credit was due to lower fares and my original travel had been completed back in Aug.

I told them I wanted to fly again in April and was patiently waiting for them to open up dates past 3/31/06 - did she know when these dates would open up? She told me they were working on it this week and it should be very soon, to keep watching the website. Believe me, I am checking - several times a day!

I think it will be Thurs. since it didn't happen today (Tues.) Just my thoughts!

Thank-you for the info. I check the SW website when I roll out of bed every morning. I have my fingers crossed-won't it be nice to get that part of the trip out of the way. Of course, then I'll have find something else to obsess about. Any ideas??? APH for Universal, which MYW tickets to buy, best days tovisit the parks..... :teeth:

I just checked the airfare for my dates in April on Travelocity and they are over $300 round trip out of Albany,NY. Wow,I hope Southwest can come up with better fares than this! We are going the beginning of April so it's not during spring break....
I was hoping for $73 each way like it was when March was released.
I'm counting on you Southwest to keep your fares their usual low.....

shoot! I was hoping they would be released tomorrow! Another post in this thread indicated that a SWA customer service rep had indicated the date might be Dec. 8th...guess we'll have to wait and see!

I sure hope that the other SWA customer rep was right. Everything else is done but our flights.

Bummer. I thought it might be tomorrow too. Maybe they are just toying with us.

Just putting my two cents in. I've seen in the past when SWA releases fares for future travel; they typically come in the early afternoon, maybe late morning.
