What a joke.

The Wanna Get Away Fare for a trip I am taking in April was $72 each way just yesterday (and has been since I started checking it months ago...). Today I get the email, go on to see if the prices are now, assuming they will be 20% off of 72...so about $15 off, right? Nope - they are $95.

WTH? Since when is $95 $72-15%?

Not a deal for me....at all...

Worked great for me!! I had our flights booked into TPA because MCO was almost $200 each way vs TPA @ $116 each way.

When I checked for the 20% off code, I checked MCO (as always) and fares had dropped to as low as $113 each way, before the 20%.

Now we're flying into MCO and have travel funds left over for next time. :thumbsup2

Not a deal for me either. They jacked up the fares so high today that even with the 20% off, the fare is higher than it was yesterday at the regular Wanna Get Away price.

Please PM me if you still have a code, heading to WDW in April for a birthday weekend!

Thanks.

Exact same thing happened with our April trip....yesterday the price was 107 one way....today they increased the price to 133 less 20% is 107...same price

I have a code too if anybody wants it. First come, first served.:thumbsup2

PM me for the code if you want it.

Same here. The price out of KC, MO has been around $325 or so for a while; right after the code came out this morning, the r/t price was jacked up to $420, so with the code I'm right back where it has been.

So annoyed with SWA for this pretense.

I'm another who noticed that they jacked up the price before releasing the 20% code....... the flights I am looking at were actually more with the discount...

As I suspected, the minute the "sale" ended, rates out of KCI dropped back down to the price prior to said sale. I should have waited, but was afraid they would go up.

Now I have a credit, but I would rather have had a lower rate to begin with.:headache:

I'm feeling your pain! I've been playing the airfare gambling game this past week. Almost bought last week, but fares went up a bit, then SW released their "sale" with the jacked up prices. I noticed late last night the "sale" ended and fares were back down so I snagged fares at the pre-sale price. Still higher than I would have liked but much lower than what some of the other airlines are offering!
