I hopped on a wi-fi SW flight this morning. After a weather diversion. I decided to splurge the $5. For a long haul flight it' worth it. I probably won't use it for a NY to FL trip again. I'm usinng a Fire as my device.

The good: The cost covers all flight segments; I'm getting real time estimates

The bad: It's slow; it's spotty, typing this post the system has relogged me on 4 times.

So no streaming, but I wasn't expecting so my videos were on the device not on the cloud.
Plus, dissing at 45,000 feet is pretty cool.

I used it on a recent trip to and from Vegas. For $5 it was a great deal to use my laptop for 4 hours...which it barely had enough battery for. Made the trip go by fast.

I actually did get streaming speeds, and was watching TV shows from my Slingbox at home, even checked security cameras and uploaded photos I took out the window. I had posted a few photos of the Rockies moments after taking them.

Occasionally it would stutter the video, especially when the plane would hit some rough spots and tilt side to side a bit.
