Sw really is up now>> rates around 114

I waited at home all morning for this. :sad2:

They are nuts $300.00 r/t from Pittsburgh in September? :confused3 Do they really think people are stupid and would book these fares?

I can get cheaper on UsAirways!

WaHoo! Booked! $72 each way and the flight times were PERFECT and non-stop. :yay::yay:

Flights from Nashville to MCO stink!! I wasn't expecting them to be this high...$138 and $125!!!!!! I was hoping to book today so I wouldn't have to constantly be checking the website, DING, emails, etc., but no such luck! I guess we'll see what the rates do in the next few weeks, but I SO wanted to have this done today!:headache:

I can't believe how high the rates are- $300 r/t from Long Island!
We go the same time every August and have never them this high.
I'll definetly be waiting...

Glad I went ahead and purchased my $59 flight on Jetblue out of Dulles for October!

Though I've seen this play out time and time again. Everyone waits, they release, the prices are high, folks are not happy, then in a couple of days the price drops. It's like a bad re-run!

i've always wanted to fly jetblue:goodvibes

im hoping u r correct, i can use the credit to rebook 'better' flight for July trip;)

even though mr insisted, im glad i did spend the extra $ ($40 pp over AT), just too much worry for that the mr might not to be back @ work the following am...or that we'd have to leave too early in the day lol

To FLL in October nothing lower than $139 each way and everything has stops.

I just priced out our Oct. dates BDL to MCO -- these are the highest release date fares I've seen yet -- $146-$178:scared1:. Hope the prices come down for those looking to book :goodvibes.

but you seem to be the only happy one so far!!!

I am, I am. Don't lose hope that the price will drop. That's what normally happens to me. This time they came out with a low price for me. :yay:

I also have to coordinate between my local puddle jumper and SWA. They work out perfect in that I have a 1.5 to 2 hr layover in KC. Perfect!

Okay so i got one way, non-stop from nashville for the three of us down for 371 total for taxes and all. I think the base fare was 105 plus all the fees. I only booked the way down. Then I went to one of the trip planning sites and saw that I could have done d----a for roundtrip at 8-- something. Have I goofed? Or just watch for dings, etc. I know it's not as bad as some of you have posted. And I did get a great flight time. We leave bna at 07:55 and arrive around 11:30am. Which means we'll have plenty of time in the park!! YAY!! But now my question is, do I just wait for the other fares and then I will cancel and rebook. Then I take the credit to buy the trip home?

I agree, the prices will probably come down but I don't know what to do about the lousy times. Delta's times are MUCH better but they're too high too.

YAY! Just booked Chicago Midway to MCO for our August trip - $598 for the three of us. It was $79 for all the MDW-MCO trips, but the trip back ranged from $99 to $149. I got the $79 out and the $99 back. I'm okay with those prices. I'd like to get the $99 down to $79 as well, but I think the price is reasonable either way.

Does disney get luggage to and from airport for Southwest flights?

you can use DME...put your yellow luggage tags on your bags and your luggage will get to your hotel that same as with any other airline. As far asyour return flight home and RAC (resort airline check in) I'm not sure that SW is operating at all Disney resorts at this time. If they are not operating at your resort all you have to do is take your luggage on the DME bus back to the airport with you and check it with Southwest when you get to MCO. Easy!

I was able to book online just now, I did have to delete my cookies and manually type in the dates as PP mentioned. We were very excited as this is the first time we will be able to take advantage of SW flyout out of Milwaukee. Before we had to go all the way to Chicago to go out of Midway. We got a good deal (I think) of $177.90 per person roundtrip including taxes. It beats Airtran's rate by a whole $8 and they don't charge bag fees! I didn't know about Ding though till just now...shucks, could have maybe shaved off a few more dollars. But, I do agree, flight times are not what we are hoping for. If they add more flights in though, there is no fee to change, so we booked what we could get.

Just booked it for $82.00 (base fare) non-stop each way Chicago-Orlando in October. I miss that they no longer have the super early 6am flight to Orlando though! Total for two of us with taxes was 370.80.

I then added EB check-in to it both ways so I don't have to remember to check us in. DH and my dad just used it on sold out flights to and from AZ this weekend. We bought their tickets about six weeks ago and they had A28-29 both ways.

:cool1: I just booked $79 each way from Chicago MDW. Great fares - all flights for each date were $79 and there were 6-10 flights each day. So glad I don't have top search for a better fare for 6 months (even though I will still check at times :) ).

Good luck to everyone else!
