SW How do I cancel and rebook? Price dropped $100

How do I go about canceling and rebooking my current flights? 4 flights were paid with points. 1 w/ cash. Also, I purchased early bird check in so we can board early. If I rebook will I "loose" my place in line?

Bring up the flight in your southwest account and click change - DO NOT cancel or you will lose early bird. The points will go back to your account for those flights. The cash one will give you a credit that you must use within 1 year from the initial purchase date.

I'm not sure whether you will "lose" your place in line but to save money and points I would consider that risk inconsequential. Maybe somebody else knows more about the EB checkin. I've flown over 50 southwest flights but never purchased it.

For the points flights you will still need to be logged into the appropriate Rapid Rewards account to make the change I think.

Select the option to change your flight and pick the same flights. You can even change just one segment if one went up and the other went down.
