SW flight schedule - opening & changes

Flights open on Sept 5th through April 9th
we are looking to fly April 14th & April 22nd anyone know about how long it will be before they opne up the next set of dates?

Also do the schedules fluctuate a lot? I am wonderng if I can get an estimate of departing and arriving flights based on the previous schedule.

Not sure when they open up for April but start calling by 7 am if not even earlier. I had been told to call at 9 but tried at 7 and got my flight then, by 9 the price had already gone up. This was a couple of years ago.

I was online the days before the dates opened up to decide which flights I wanted, and they were the same for my dates.

No way to tell for sure, but you can look at this list of historical release dates to see when those dates have opened in recent years. Best guess would be October/November. There can be a fair amount of difference in the schedule depending on the various times of year and there may be more than usual in 2012 as SWA absorbs AirTran over the course of the year and merges those two schedules.

I'm from western Ma and i'm looking to book those same dates,I have a bad feeling they are going to be pricey dates

When we were waiting for later November dates to open the schedule went up to 3 days just before our first day of travel. The schedule was completely different for our dates.

Generally, the day after the schedule opens up on Sept. 5th, SWA will post on their site when their next schedule will be released. Look under Travel Tools.

I have found that the schedules do tend to change from the previously released schedule. While you can get an idea, there is no guarantee that the same flight will be availble for the next release.
