I was just viewing my flights to see if the fares went down at all. However, in the wanna get away column it now says sold out and just Anytime and Business Select have prices listed (320/340 respectively). Would it be safe to assume that my fare will never go down since I got a Wanna Get Away fare for $109? I have flown SW a lot but have never seen Sold Out in that column.

Thanks in Advance.

Probably, but you never know. Usually they will hold x number of seats for each fare 'group' All of the cheap seats are 'sold out' for that flight.

So, now I'm nervous - and very grateful I have purchased my tickets. I searched for 8 Adults for May 1st to see how many seats the flights have and it appears 3 flights that day are already completely SOLD OUT (not just the cheap seats). I have never flown during a day where so many flights were sold out. I hope this is not an indication crowds are going to be extremely heavy.

You mean all 'wanna get away' fares are 'sold out' or is it giving you sold out on ALL fare classes? I dont know how many of each fare they sell.

There seem to always be wanna get away fares that come back out of nowhere, disappear out of nowhere, price drop, price increase... I just keep watching and watching.

My fares, for example, going TO dis in October went from $82 on opening day to $102 2 days later. I know they're going to drop again, closer to the day, so I'm waiting it out until summer.

Keep an eye open on the fares. And if worst comes to worse, you can always book another airline for the return trip. We went down Southwest and flew back AirTran last trip. Not saying that I would recommend doing that (on AirTran at least... popcorn:::rolleyes1 ), it's always an option.
