SW Ding announcement today 14th

I'm looking for a SW flight leaving August 26th from Long Island, when will this become available??

How do you know if your rr is attached to your ding? I didn't get any special messages othe than the usual dings (non worked for me). When I click update registration it does not have anything about rr numbers.

I think the only way to do it is when you register the first time it has a box there for your RR zip and choose your locations. I'm not sure if thats something you can update.

:woohoo: DH just booked a long weekend to see his folks in Chicago - $70.80 RT!!

I just reinstalled it doing just that (just to be safe).

I was looking for a small trip as well to get me closer to a RR voucher. It's just not in the plans for now. If they have prices that low in the fall we will be going somewhere.

Here's what my email from SWA RR said about that:
"Unsure if you've registered with your Rapid Reward number? Simply click on the "Update Registration" link from the DING! tool and if the Rapid Rewards membership number field is absent, then you're already registered."

...So if you don't see a box on update registration page that is asking you to put your RR number in, you have already done it!

Would it be difficult to change my non-refundable tickets in order to get the "ding"fare tickets?

It's a process but not hard.

I open 2 windows

I make sure the Ding is available and book right up until you pay.

I then cancel my original flight and get the TTV (same as confirm number).

Then switch back over to Ding and put that as the payment. The rest will remain as the TTV for future use( 1 year from booking not travel date).

You also know it's better to book just one-ways so that it makes it easier to change if a Ding only comes availible for one of your flights.

Since the original tickets are non refundable is the TTV like a credit?

If I have a credit remaining after the "ding" seat is purchased can I use it to book my DMIL tickets?

Yes a TTV is a ticketless travel voucher.

You can use it to book any flight for anyone (all you need is the number and original name it was in). They even sell them on E-bay if they are not able to use them.

No fees or anything just the one year from purchase (it can be extended sometimes) so you have to be careful on the future flight or you may lose those funds.
