SW credit problem

I had two reservations that I had to cancel recently. I knew I could only use two reservation numbers when rebooking and using the credits, so I thought I would be okay and able to use all the credits.

But it seems that although my first reservation was under one reservation number, the fact that there were three people traveling under that reservation, it will only let me use part of the credit on that reservation number.

I hope I'm explaining this right, but I was quite surprised and will lose a lot of money, because I thought I would be okay because even though there were three passengers traveling, it was under one reservation number. Is there any way around this?

i think if you explaining this right, this happen to me. i had four people on one ressies. when i booked my new flight i could only use 3 credits plus my credit card payment. i had one credit left i used the remaining credit towards my next trip. if your credit is going to expire, trying booking two seperate ressies for the three people. remember if you have any remaining credit left by the end of jan. who's ever the credit name it is in, will only be able to use that credit for the future.

I know it sounds confusing. I think my point was for those who think like I did that if all passengers are under one reservation, it counts as one credit. But if there are three people on the same reservation, it actually counts as three credits, even though it's one reservation. Just wanted to make others aware.

Try submitting the same confirmation # with another person from the ressies name. You can submit up to 3.

My credits are expiring next week, and I am going to have to pay the fee to extend them. What I was trying to do was get them all onto one reservation, then cancel it, so I just have to pay the $50 once.

I have two confirmation numbers. One has three people on it. The other has one person on it. I thought since it was two confirmation numbers, it would be no problem to combine them together for one ticket. But that is not working. Apparently the one with three people on it is considered three credits.

Unless I'm misunderstanding something, it looks like I will have to keep it on two reservations, thus paying $100 to extend them.

I did this. Combined 2 into one. It didn't matter when I called to inquire I was still quoted 2 fees. There info shows that it was combined & how many times and unless you can get a customer service rep who's in a really good mood you still have pay as it was originally booked.
