Can anyone explain this to me? Did I read a post right that if the fare for my trip goes down, SW will give me a credit to use on a future flight? I believe this credit expires after one year, is that one year from the date original tickets were purchased? Date of original flight? Date credit was issued? When I first checked my flights it was $900 total for three people, 2 weeks later it was up to $1048 so I bought the tickets. Now, one week later, it's up to $1320. I'm just curious how this credit works if the prices get back down below $1048 which I highly doubt they will!!!

Yes, you can get credit for the difference to be used on a future flight. Those credits expire 1 year from the date you booked, not your flight date.

You get the credit by selecting change flight on their website. If one leg goes up but the other goes down you can change only the one leg and get the credit for that. You can also get credit if you find a different flight thats lower.
