~ SURVIVOR Samoa ~ Season 19 ~

I'll admit that Russell played the game the hardest. Especially finding those hidden immunity idols with no clue. Plus he was very entertaining.
I agree. He really grew on me. He played constantly. He made some good points about people falling apart at the end, and he was till "on"...still working every minute. But I agree with this too...
Riding the coat tails is a strategy... and it turned out to be the winning one in this case!
::yes::

I would've loved to see Russell win tho.

There was however one good thing about tonight..........

The Season 20 preview!!!!

2 things I am looking forward to possibly seeing in Season 20:

OZZY
&
JAMES!!!!!!!

Please, oh please Survivor, please bring back my faves!!!

And Rupert too, just for good measure!

I know I asked this earlier in the thread but I can't find it if someone answered...has the season 20 cast been confirmed anywhere?

I didn't like Russell at the beginning either but he grow on me too.

He should have won. Those words did not come up when they were questioning them , who outwit ,out lasted etc.

I was surprised with Russell wife, very pretty and 9 year old twins. Wow.

He really just wanted the title , he said that all along. They all had money, someone even said Nat had money too. :confused3

The jury were all sore loser, all but Shamboo.

I just don't understand where, in a GAME like survivor, "riding coattails" could be an "undeserving" strategy. It's a strategy...sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't.

If this was some sort of measurable competition, they'd be punching calculations into a computer to come up with a winner. Or they'd have "experts" (? :confused3) who would observe the show and pick the winner based on a solid set of criteria.

But this competition involves human beings...a whole new combination each season with different backgrounds and expectations, with feelings and emotions, with bonds and relationship issues within their tribes, and resentments and commitments and friendships...all sorts of things that figure into the way the jury votes...based on whatever reasons they choose. It's not a trial jury...they don't have to pick the "right" verdict.

Sometimes, the best strategy is to just not piss off that many people, and sometimes riding coattails fits into that strategy.

REALLY looking forward to the next season! What a great concept...Villains vs Heroes. Can't want to see who's coming back from the past.

I told ya'll that Russ couldn't win against Natalie. He was so cocky and his ego and mouth was his downfall. He did deserved the title of the best player but to win you have to balance your power and your ego.

Me too, I was so excited to see the previews!! I heard Boston Rob will be on it again too! Omg, I can't even imagine Russell and that one who kept talking about being a "dragonslayer" (name escapes me)...It is going to be good!! :)

Actually I think Russ and Coach would get along very well for some reason! :rotfl2:

PS - I'm a HUGE RedSox fan. I know, NC and a Sox fan, really?
My first Major League game ever was Fenway. You HAVE to be a Sox fan after that!

I am a NC Red Sox fan!!! I have been to a few games at Fenway, when I lived up there, but boy do I miss going there!! :)

ITA with this! I don't understand the final three....:confused3
I don't get the "3" either. I wonder why they changed it, and if they changed it based on who the final three that season were. :confused3 The season that Parvarti won, the players thought it was going to be 3, and then it turned out to be 2...Amanda (who had won immunity, I think, and had to vote off Parvarti or....??). I wonder if they threw that monkey wrench in to make it more dramatic.

And that is one of those cases where Parvarti was more the "Russell" figure, and Amanda was more the Natalie type who rode coattails, and Parvarti won. :confused3

What I don't get with 3 finalists, and 9 votes, what would happen if the votes were 3, 3 and 3? How would they break the tie, and when...during the season, or at the finale? AND...I'm surprised they never mentioned that Mick didn't get ANY votes!
Actually I think Russ and Coach would get along very well for some reason! :rotfl2:
Psycho Coach...yeah, that would be interesting. But didn't he have some major health problems?

I saw James name as a possibility but not Ozzy's.

I like Natalie but she should not have won. She did not play better than Russell. I am glad he won fan fav though although I would have also liked Brett to win. I would love to see Brett come back again.

Worst Survivor outcome ever.:sad2:

Amen!

One of the best in terms of gameplay and strategy, well on Russells part anyways and the worst ending ever.

Makes me wonder if America might soon be getting a vote.

Here's a list I found online...no idea how accurate it might be, or if it's even close:

http://www.theinsider.com/news/2644628_Survivor_20_Cast_List_Heroes_vs._Villians

The 20th season of Survivor is just around the corner (early next year)--rumor has it that the season will bring back previous Survivor contestants as before in Survivor All-Stars. Speculation is the theme this time will be Heroes VS Villians. Richard Hatch, the first ever Survivor winner, was denied the chance to participate in the show, however, his attempts in trying to be released from jail early to participate have definitely fueled the rumors that we're going to see another All-Stars type format.

Another previous contestant, Coby Archa, has leaked a list of names at Survivor Sucks ---he says they have been asked to participate and agreed. There's 23 names listed, so there may be a few more cut before filming. Here's the 'unofficial list'--

Ace Gordon (Survivor: Gabon)
Amanda Kimmel (Survivor: China)
Benjamin "Coach" Wade (Survivor: Tocantins)
Cirie Fields (Survivor: Panama)
James Clement (Survivor: China)
Jean-Robert Bellande (Survivor: China)
Jenna Morasca (Survivor: Amazon)
Jerri Manthey (Survivor: Australia)
Jessica "Sugar" Kiper (Survivor: Gabon)
Johnny Fairplay (Survivor: Pearl Islands)
Ozzy Lusth (Survivor: Cook Islands)
Natalie Bolton (Survivor: Micronesia)
Parvati Shallow (Survivor: Cook Islands)
Randy Bailey (Survivor: Gabon)
Rupert Boneham (Survivor: Pearl Islands)
Sandra Diaz-Twine (Survivor: Pearl Islands)
Sierra Reed (Survivor: Tocantins)
Shane Powers (Survivor: Panama)
Stephenie LaGrossa (Survivor: Palau)
Tina Wesson (Survivor: Australia)
Tom Buchanan (Survivor: Africa)
Tom Westman (Survivor: Palau)
Twila Tanner (Survivor: Vanuatu)

Any list without Russel's name is about as meaningful as a piece of used toilet paper.

I think it was Erik's speech at the final tribal that convinced so many to vote Natalie. Ding Dong the jerk is gone! What a big crybaby loser, Russel. Wahhhhhhhhhhhhhh!

I think so too. Russ couldn't keep his mouth shut, he had to say, I did this, I did that, because of me this, because of me that, and there you have it.
