~ SURVIVOR Samoa ~ Season 19 ~

Eric had it, but I think he found it, not Shambo. I got a little nervous when Russell played the idol because Jeff didn't make the speech about anyone wanting to play the idol. I thought that maybe they couldn't use it yet.

We discussed this earlier in the thread and now it's really obvious. I wonder why Jeff isn't making that speech or are they just editing it out for some reason?

Way to go dummy Eric, his loud mouth got him voted off. :sad2: I like him but he got to cocky. And I can't stand Russell and his "I'm God" attitude. Now he doesn't have his Idol and he is in trouble.

Pardon the cliche, but loose lips sinks ships. How many seasons have we watched where he who talks the most is sure to get the boot? That's why players who fly under the radar do so well, they don't draw unwanted attention to themselves. John reminds me of Ethan the way he is playing the game and I agree he will go far.

Great episode last night!!! :happytv:

I've never liked Erik and was very happy to see him go last night. I'm loving Russell! (Still can't forgive him for the Katrina thing, but putting that aside....) I love when a player really gets into the "Out Wit" aspect of the game. I don't think he's the brightest bulb in the package (not the dimmest, either!) but I like the effort that he's putting in. Of couse, that's all they're showing us; in other words, maybe other players are putting in equal effort but we're not being shown that. So only basing my opinion on what we're able to see, I'm enjoying his game play. :cool2:

And I STILL want to know WHY HE HAS A MISSING TOOTH!?!?!?!?!?!?!!? :confused3:confused3:confused3 He doesn't come off as being so broke that he'd have a missing front tooth, kwim?? LOL

I wonder if they found a good reason for Jeff to NOT ask that question?? :confused3

Is that a missing tooth or just a gap in his teeth?

OMG! My dh said last night - "If he's a millionaire, why would he not get his teeth fixed?"

I was half watching the show last night. Why did they decide to vote off Eric?

I was half watching the show last night. Why did they decide to vote off Eric?

The girl from Foa Foa convinced the girls from Galu to vote off Eric as a "girl power" and "he's a threat" type of thing. I was as amazed as Eric at how quickly that went down. If you missed it, I suggest rewatching it on cbs.com. It was a perfect blindside. One minute it was the girl from Galu (the law student), then all of a sudden it became Eric.

The irony: the only person to not vote for Eric (besides Eric) was Shambo. Eric always joked about how stupid Shambo was and how they could use her as a pawn, well, it appears she was the only one who had his back.

Also, what happened last night was your typical merge blindside. Foa Foa already discussed what to do if they merge, Galu hadn't. Good planning yields good results on survivor.

I just finished watching the Ponderosa video. Does anyone know what the symbolism is with the necklace that Eric said that he wants everyone to see?

I felt like last night's show was really staged. The group consensus even before the immunity challenge was Laura.
I knew it could be that easy! Of course Laura would win immunity and OF course there would be two to win. Jeesh!
I am glad Eric is gone, he had nothing but negativity towards Foa Foa and he said a lot of offensive things to all of them.

Great blindside!

Russell will have a hard time digging his way out now. He made too many mistakes this week.

He definitely has quite the uphill battle ahead of him. Going to be interesting to see how he lord of the dances his way out of that little predicament.

Great job Jaison!

That was brilliant on his part and I loved watching Erick's face when he saw the 5th vote for him :rotfl:

...

I don't really like the Galu girls, but I hope they stick with Foa Foa and work on getting the rest of their tribes men out.

Jaison showed his smarts last night. I was saying 'in your face, Erik' at the TV. Jaison hasn't proved himself, eh? The DH and I were giggling with glee, I tell you. I love blind sides like that.

And yes, I agree, I really really do not like the Galu girls.

I'm thinking one way Russell could color things to keep himself around is to play jury votes. Tell people there is no way he could win at the end so why not keep him around. Some of those folks are stupid enough to believe that. Just look at how they keep repeating errors of game past. John was right when he called them all on playing JV Survivor.

Is that a missing tooth or just a gap in his teeth?

No, it's a huge space and it looks like the tooth next to his left front tooth is totally missing. When he's speaking, it's not very noticable, but when he smiles widely, it's very obvious.

Exactly!

I agree, it'll be interesting to see what Russell does next. They've really been featuring him a LOT since the very beginning.

I like Jaison; he admits that he's out of his element, but he's keeping himself, for the most part, under control. I know in the beginning he said that playing Survivor was the worst decision he'd ever made, but I'm hoping that in the end he feels differently.

Again, so glad that cocky Erik is gone!

I think Survivor features him a lot, is because he says the most outragious things. And, it says he is an OIl Company owner. Heck, he may just own his own business that sells Penzoil and is nothing more than a distributor. Russel tries to get rid of players that have figured him out. To me, he is really wierd. I would be scared to death, being on the same island with him.

BLINDSIDED!!! :thumbsup2

I was so glad they all forced Russell to play his IDOL.....hmmm.....looks very interesting for next week!!!!!!!!! :happytv:

Maybe he has a false tooth that he left at home so people would think he was broke!

I truly think that he likes it that way... fits into his "I am tougher than anyone" persona. He has been a great character thus far... hated that he had to play the idol.

I just watched the Ponderosa videos of Erik--he was really bitter about being blindsided and couldn't comprehend how his Galu teammates could do that to him. Well duh big guy--you are a threat at challenges, had an immunity idol you really didn't earn, and were quite cocky/obnoxious. I wonder why they took the opportunity to kick you to the curb.

I'm with those who think that Russell has probably sealed his fate unless he wins immunity. While I hate the prissy girls of galu, it amazes me that they clearly read Russell from the start while his own tribe is blind to his scheming. :confused3

My husband thinks Russell is a truck driver.

 DH and I wonder the same thing - exactly WHAT does "oil company owner" mean? Does he own a gas station?? :confused3

I wouldn't be afraid of Russell. I've known some real nut cases before (crazy personalities, I don't mean mental health problems!) so I don't think I'd be afraid of Russell. I'd probably "yes" to him to face though; people like that like to believe they're in charge, whether they actually are or not. lol

I'm wondering if it was a fake tooth that broke off a bridge or something??? :confused3 lol

Exactly! He's been a great character to watch. Hated him the first week though!!! LOL

Since so many people knew he had the idol, I'm thinking it may be in his best interest that now they know he no longer has it.

Hi Tess! :sunny: Ah Ponderosa! I have to go watch that! :thumbsup2 I'm not a fan of the Galu girls, either. I'm not surprised that once Russell spoke to several of the Galu members that they got together and talked about it. Russell underestimated the bonds that Galu had formed; he thought they'd all keep his individual immunity idol a secret!

My husband thinks Russell is a truck driver.

You never know! I'm looking forward to the finale' when Jeff asks a lot of the questions that we wonder while watching the season. I hope he asks Russell about his missing tooth. LOL
