I watched some of the recaps since I did not get to see the show. I agree with Shambo. Galu was stupid for not collecting the fresh rain water to drink. I really hope that she will not be voted off any time soon.

I liked Russell and am sorry he had to leave the game.

I think shambo is a dim bulb though...she really is not to bright. When you are doing a challenge and someone is trying to concentrate and they ask you to be quiet....you don't keep it up even if it is saying words of encouragement---that said those other girls on her team are witches! I really haven't found anyone I am really rooting for this season....Russel that is still there I HATE, if he would just stop talking about how stupid everyone else is and about how god like he is he would be bearable but he doesn't shut up. And thanks to those four stupid men on Galu my daughter is now asking what the phrase "Bros before Ho's" means!!! Grrrrrr men are SO stupid!!!!

I agree that Russell is playing well so far but all his deals may haunt him after the merge.

I also agree that Shambo is a terrible game player and seems to have no clue as to what is really going on.

I thought last night's episode was kind of blah. Next week will definitely be interesting after the merge. I can't wait until the girls start talking to each other and find out how many lies Russell has told. First it's all the Katrina stuff, then last night he's telling Laura from Galu that his father was a preacher or something. I'm sure there are other lies that we haven't seen. All it takes is an innocent comment from someone and they start comparing notes and he's outed. I just hope it happens before he's done any more damage.

I don't really have a favorite; nobody really stands out. If I had to choose right now, I'd go for Dave. Despite his comment a couple of weeks about his "awesome-ness", he has a good shot to win the game, and I don't think he's annoyed anyone (at least from what we've seen).

I don't think that Russell has done any damage. He may have done a little sabotage in the beginning but he has participated 100% in all the challenges. Which is more than some of the others can claim. Even though he's called "Evil Russell", I think he is the most entertaining of the bunch. I hope he stays till the end but I doubt he will. He is making little bitty mistakes that will cost him the million. But then again, just like he said last night, his team is also costing him the win because they keep on losing. I figured the merge would happen soon.

I like Natalie, but don't think she will win. She is riding Russell's coat tails.
I WANT to like Shambo, but she is so dumb sometimes, it is hard. I also like the other two men on Foa Foa - Mick & Jaison.

All the men on Galu are pigs. Ugghh. And the women are prima donnas. Don't like any of them.

I agree completely with this quoted section. I don't have a favorite yet. They have been focusing way to much on Foa Foa, so I don't really know any of the Galu members that well. I will probably have a favorite about 3 weeks into this merge.

Is anyone else NOT hating Russell anymore? I won't get over the fact that he lied about Katrina, but putting that aside, DH and I are now thinking that he's just playing the game really well.

P.S. Yeah, he's a jerk, but within the context of "Survivor", we're liking him. LOL

If you ask me, CBS after the first episode, CBS figured they created a villain so despicable that people were getting turned off, so they toned the editing down a bit to make him look more devious than downright mean. Not speaking from authority, just me interpreting the change in how Russel is being portrayed.

Yep..I totally feel it's going to bite him in his lying booty. Girls talk...it's what they do and I can't help but feel they are going to compare notes at some point. But then again, maybe they'll continue to be 'dumb girls' as Russell calls them.

Whatever happens, this week should be VERY interesting. Galu is totally going to be scrambling to finally get rid of some people.

They've all gotten incredibly arrogant and that also tends to get you in the end. You get too complacent and comfortable. I'm eager to see them all knocked down a peg or two.

Russell should not have given out all that information immediately to the other tribe. I'm always amazed at how players think that people don't talk. LOL I'm guessing Russell is not voted off next week, as that would be too predictable from the previews. I totally knew Laura was going to win immunity since they spent all that time before the challenge talking about how she would be gone!

Yep, Survivor is getting too predictable. Usually when they show the players talking about who needs to be voted off, it's never that person.

Refresh my memory: did Eric have the Galu immunity idol? Shambo found it, and didn't one of the guys say that they would keep it for her? Was it Eric? So he's gone and the idol is gone with him?

And I guess whoever found the spoiler that the hidden immunity idol for each tribe was hidden at the other tribe's camp.....that spoiler was wrong.

I AM glad that Russel played his idol and now he doesn't have that safety net. But like DeluxePrincess said, it would be way too obvious for Russell to be voted off next week, just based on the previews. Although we can be glad that based on the previews it looks like the other players are starting to get wise to all of Russell's conniving.

That was brilliant on his part and I loved watching Erick's face when he saw the 5th vote for him

He was one of my favorite players, but was getting too cocky and arrogant.

I don't really like the Galu girls, but I hope they stick with Foa Foa and work on getting the rest of their tribes men out. That would be great!

Then the girls can just go after the guys of Foa Foa

And yes, Erick had the Galu immunity idol. He found it with Shambo's clues.

Eric had it, but I think he found it, not Shambo. I got a little nervous when Russell played the idol because Jeff didn't make the speech about anyone wanting to play the idol. I thought that maybe they couldn't use it yet.

I am loving that episode last night. Best one of this season. I love how the pecking order complete changes after the merge. That was one of the best blindsides in a loooong time. My favorite contestant is the Rocket Scientist ... don't know his name off the top of my head, but I am rooting for him now.

My favorite contestant is the Rocket Scientist ... don't know his name off the top of my head, but I am rooting for him now.

His name is John. I think he could definately go deep into the game since he's not drawing a lot of attention right now and seems to be keeping his nose clean.
