Survivor: Pearl Islands *OFFICIAL THREAD*

Yes, I think this outcast tribal council will be very interesting. ::yes::

Osten has been such a putz. Morgan stands a better chance without him.

My thought is that the two tribes will merge after the next amunity challenge, giving the two outcasts a shot at the final... then all heck will break loose!

I am really digging this season... love Rupert and hope he does well, but once the tribes merge, I think he will be the main target.

Cant wait for next week, but it will have to wait since I will be at WDW, in the MK, watching WISHES on Main Street next Thursday!

Other Games Osten Has Given Up On
Too funny! I don't post over there, but I lurk just about every day when Survivor or Amazing Race are on. Some of the regular posters are hilarious.

I'm sure when the Outcasts get to vote somebody in, it will be like when they vote somebody out - - you can't vote for yourself. I wonder if each Outcast will vote on two parchments or if they will write down two names on one, or maybe each will just vote for one person and the two with the most votes will be in! I guess I'm way overthinking this!!! Can't wait though! Six more days!

I think the Outcasts will vote in the two they think most likely to win any individual immunity challenges and have a shot at going all the way. I would think that would be Burton for sure, and maybe Michelle or Nicole.

What a twist and an awesome episode!!! Kudos to the producers for shaking things up. I wonder though if the Outcasts will be eligible for the whole prize or if they will have to share it amongst all the outcasts since only two can go back.

I too like Rupert and I would love to see him and Andrew as the final two. Jon is a loser, in my opinion and I agree that they kept him as a strategic move. I am wondering if the returning Outcast will return to the opposite tribe of where they originated to give them a fairer chance.

Hummm....can't wait until next week.

What a great twist! I can't wait for to see part two! I can't stand Jon. I really wish they got rid of him.

Did anyone else think Jeff was disgusted by Osten giving up? I couldn't believe it when he threw his torch on the ground!

I'm not sure I like the twist, although they had to do something different. I think it's pretty convenient that the outcasts won the challenge. It wouldn't have been very interesting if they didn't. Jeff was making a point when he said Darrah was shrinking to practically nothing because her tribe has no food. I don't believe the outcasts had to live in the exact same conditions.

Osten is the biggest crybaby on the show. Good riddance. He shouldn't ever be featured in anything that has to do with the show again, but you know they'll bring him back for the final wrapup so they can talk to him about quitting.

My favorites so far are Rupert and Andrew, they're the class acts on their respective tribes...although I think Andrew is now going overboard with his determination that no one will ever join his tribe and be accepted, and Rupert is going overboard with the "loyalty to Drake" thing, although he may just be saying that because he wants to look good to his tribemates. Eventually people are going to have to vote against each other, won't they?

I think the vote will probably result in one outcast from each tribe returning, and they will end up being assigned back to their same tribes. Sending Burton or Michelle back to Drake would definitely upset the equilibrium there, as would sending Lil or Ryan back to Morgan. I'm also not surprised that Shawn went home instead of Jon. Jon may be obnoxious, but Shawn twisted in the wind and voted wherever he saw the majority going, whether or not he was supposed to be in some sort of alliance. The others may think Jon could be more loyal to an alliance in the future.

don't like Rupert! He is disgusting! Really think he will be "out of there" when (well or maybe "if") there is a merge.

and do we think Osten will be changing gyms when he goes home..... seems to me that he might be in for razzing - will he go for "incognito" in his hometown?

I was thinking the same thing. I think if an outcast should win, they should either have to split it with the other outcasts or only win $500,000 instead of the million. Should be interesting to see how things pan out.

Wish that Jon could have been one of those ousted.

I can't stand Jon either, but, think... strategically, who better to be up against in the top two?! Let's see... anyone and Jon? ANYONE! lol...

So, they may be keeping him there just for that reason. If Rupert goes to the merge, then they have to be careful of immunity. When he starts winning the immunity challenges, then he can go all the way.

My pick for top three... Rupert, Jon & Sandra.

I can't wait until Thursday! I do think they will merge before each tribe gets a chance to vote off the Outcast, ie. maybe this week but definitely by the following week. Then, since they are merged, it will be harder to vote them out, jmo.

Great Survivor!

My mom saved an article for me in the Nov. 1 Dallas Morning News. It said:

"For the first time, the live finale of Survivor will be broadcast from the host country, executive producer Mark Burnett revealed Friday. Survivor: Pearl Islands, set off the coast of Panama, will crown its winner Dec. 14 on an outdoor stage in Panama City.

Finales of the first six Survivor series took place in either Los Angeles or New York.

Mr. Burnett promised a "doozy" of an entrance by host Jeff Probst. His past arrivals have often aimed for the spectacular.

This week's episode also was a doozy and a first: The six contestants already voted off returned as a third tribe. Because they beat the other two tribes in a challenge, two of the evictees will re-enter the competition next week.

Also a first was the elimination of contestant Osten Taylor without a vote. The Morgan tribe member, who had been complaining about conditions since the start, asked to be sent packing. After grilling him about his decision, Mr. Probst decided to forgo the formalities of tribal council.

"Go home," the host said instead of the usual "The tribe has spoken." Osten also wasn't allowed any final words."

You know how you can assign the bonus points on the CBS site. Well if you pick "says tribe name" do you think that means their own tribe name or either one? Because sometimes they say the other tribe name more than their own!

Can someone PLEASE answer this for me? Why did Burton get dumped in the first place??? I missed a few of the first shows.
