Survivor: Pearl Islands *OFFICIAL THREAD*

I don't know. I enjoyed Ryan's audition tape but he really was not a good Survivor. He knew the game and wanted to play but he was not a strong person and I am not just talking physically....

Where did you see the audition tape? Was that on the CBS Early Show this morning?

I was wondering the same thing. I can't find my own team either and I know my votes registered, because when I didn't think they did I tried again and the site told me I had already voted. Wish my second onw was my first one, cause my selections were much better. Had them all right except for the one about what other survivor would get votes at the tribal council.

Disboards tribe's Fantasy league ranks (This week/last week):

?/1. DIS KIDS - 4823
?/2. Disboard Pirates - 4413
?/3. Pirates of The DIS - 2955
?/4. DIS FANS - ?
?/5. DISers of the Carribean - ?

None of the tribe's are in the top 100 of the private tribes :(

*Can someone from the DIS FANS tribe and the DISers of the Carribean tribe pm me every week with the tribe's total score?

-I hope no one minds that I started posting the scores for this season. Do you like the comparison of this week to last week? (I mean it doesn't do much right now since there wasn't scores posted last week.)

I had to pick from daughter up from soccer practice and missed the part from where Sandra was taking down Morgan's shelter to the tail end of the immunity challenge. What happened during that time? Did Rupert really get angry? About what? Do you think that it will hurt his standing in the Drake tribe?

Rupert DID get angry, and justifiably so. One of his teammates, I forget his name, lost the tip of the spear gun. He said that he looked for it for an hour, but couldn't find it. When Rupert asked where it was lost, he couldn't tell him where he was.

The two of them went back to look, and Rupert found it and the other guy felt better, knowing that he wouldn't be the first to be voted out for losing the tribe's primary method of getting food.

I think Rupert was just expressing everyone's anger and it won't hurt him in the long run.

Thanks smileybrat. I like the comparison numbers from the week before. Did you notice some of the totals? I was amazed but I think if I would have picked says tribes name for all by bonus point people we would have had more points. Oh well you live and learn. I guess I won't be winning the vehicle. :D

I have to agree with you, Chess, as I wondered the same thing...is the Morgan tribe eating? I am deducing they are not eating much of anything and they have said they aren't sleeping either. They better get a game plan together or they will be picked off one by one. When Jeff asked Lil, as a life long troop leader, what she thought the tribe needed to do to come together, Lil said, they needed to fish more??? HUH???

When Sandra went to pillage the Morgan tribe it was decided beforehand to take their water jug as there was no need to hurt them by taking something so valuable as their tarp. She couldn't even find a water jug. They didn't even buy one. She had no choice to take the tarp as they had absolutely nothing worth taking. They MIGHT get it back because Jeff said after every reward challenge a pillage expedition will be included. I have no respect for the Morgan tribe.

Drake on the other hand even has plates to eat off of and Rupert is making sure those plates are full. I love Rupert and I hope he doesn't do anything to make me change my opinion of him which so often happens in this game.

I don't think it was right, what Sandra did. I know you're there to win, but at some point the tribes will be merged... they'll remember what she did. Especially b/c Sandra's tribe has so much, and they have so little. I'd have just taken something stupid and left the tarp, they would have really appreciated that. But of course I'd let then KNOW that I COULD have taken the tarp, and didn't.

Remember when last season there was a reward challenge where one of the guys won a phone call home or something, OR he could give it away to someone else. I think he ended up giving it to Jenna since there was some problem at home for her with her mom, and b/c he did something to nice and unselfish that everyone ended up getting calls or visits or whatever it was.

She didn't have to be a you know what.

BTW love Andrew! :p

so far, Rupert has my vote for the best. I like his attitude... he is TRULY a pirate!

As for Saundra, I was angry with her! She won't win many brownie points once the tribes merge. I was thinking she was going to go in and take something that was somewhat insignificant, but then she was looking for the water jug (that really would have mad me mad--- those people on Morgan need someway to get water) and the way she was talking down to them as she was dismantling their shelter... I don't blame them for getting testy with her. As far as I am concerned, if Drake ever looses an immunity challenge, I hope they vote her off first. Now that they don't have to depend on her to interact with the locals, she is of no use to them.

I don't see how she has to be worried about Morgan. They are doing a pretty good job of self-destructing. By the time of a merger, she should be safe from them, and she won brownie points, I'm sure, from her tribe mates.

I'm trying to think what might have been going through Sandra's mind. She went over for a water jug and didn't find one, so was probably thinking "what else can we use?". The only other thing I noticed in the Morgan camp was a lantern, and Drake already has a couple. The tarp does get put to use, because in the previews for next week, you see it being used as a lean-to away from the main shelter. I don't think she took it to be mean, but simply because that's what Drake could get the best use out of. While I think it would have been nice if she had picked up a shell off the beach and said "I'll take this", that probably wasn't they way she was thinking at the time.

If Morgan continues thier downward spiral, I bet we see some sort of tribe altering twist in about two more episodes.

On the other hand, if Sandra had come back with something useless, her OWN teamates could have turned on her. I really think she put herself in a difficult position when she said she would go to the other camp. I also believe that the other team would have taken something equally as valuable had the tables been turned. So far, it's been an interesting season. :D

Thought the episode was interesting. Can understand why Ryan S. was voted off since they did the same thing to Shawna last time but was kinda hoping that they would vote off Osten instead. I'm also wondering why he bothered applying to be on Survivor. Did he not watch the other shows???

I think Sandra was in a tough position. If she'd come back with nothing then her tribe wouldn't have been too happy with her. I didn't see anything else to take other than the tarp. What did Morgan buy in the village?? They don't seem to be fishing or anything. The fact that the tribes get to loot each other will make the merger interesting though.

If Morgan doesn't improve there won't need to be a merger though. They have to win something at some point though because I don't think there's been a Survivor yet when one team has won all of the challenges.

Can't wait til next week.

I finally figured out why my name wasn't showing on the Disboards. When I signed up, I forgot to sign up under the Disboards. Anyway, I just did it and I'm in first place. I can't believe it. I'm sure it won't last for long.

I think Sandra had no choice but to cop that little attitude. I mean, she didn't want the tarp, but obviously they must have hidden anything else they had. IIRC they DID have a couple of water jugs. The tarp wasn't the ONLY thing they bought. Morgan was just dumb enough to make that her only choice.

And speaking of Sandra, I think she's the main reason Drake is doing so well. Her speaking the native language was HUGE in this game.

Regarding the Reality Planet thing and DISboards not being on the leaderboard... I asked about it in their forums (which are a pretty interesting read, BTW!). I'll keep you "posted"!!

Hi everyone, I hope it's ok to join in even if I'm a little late!

I thought the way the Morgan tribe acted when Sandra came over was wrong. If they had won, they would have went for the most valuable item too, it's playing the game. At first I thought Sandra should have went easy on them and just taken something of less value and maybe played the game a little by getting on their good side for the merge, but after they were just so rude towards her, I think they got what they deserved! Also were they allowed to hide items? I don't remember seeing Morgan taking a water jug to get water, just a large pot. Hope next week is as good!!:D
