I'm not sure he would accept - because he'd be the odd man out on Morgan, more likely to be voted off - and if he did survive til the merge, the remaining Drake would remember his "betrayal" and want to get rid of him pronto.

I think his best move is to return to Drake, convince them he didn't spill any beans, and even better if he comes back with dirt/info on Morgan.

I totally misread Drake's dynamics before this show and never would have guessed Burton was in danger, which is why I had him in my tribe.

Same here. I also had Rupert, which means I also lost points for them sitting out the challenge. From the previews I never would have seen them sitting out a physical challenge, but that was before we all found out they were going to throw it on purpose. Ah well... win some, lose some

Thanks to the Drake tribe throwing the competition and Burton being voted off, I lost more points last night than I gained!

I'm still surprised they threw the challenge, it really wasn't smart, especially for Burt. Rupert does seem to be getting along with the other tribe, I wonder if it will come back to haunt him when he returns. They were already talking about him giving secrets away, which I doubt he would ever do.

But my husband works with Ryan O. - or "Rhino" as Jeff seems to call him. They are both 3rd year electrical apprentices here in the bay area. I actually spoke to him over the phone right before the first week's episode. He obviously couldn't say much about what happens but did say he made life long friends and according to him at no time do they ever get any of the stuff that was in their luggage that was left behind!!

I love it when they (Burt) have no idea they are getting voted off and are completely blindsided. Although, I wish they would have blindsided Jon. He is just not as funny as he thinks he is. He is an idiot and a 98 pound weakling!

I guess Dh was right and a reward for the challenge was another tribe member. I'll have to listen to how smart he is for awhile.

Rupert would never give away secrets to the other tribe but I am surprised he was helping them get some food in next week's previews. Making friends for the merge...he's so smart.

I would think Rupert would have to help them get food if he wants to eat. I know it is typically 3 days between immunity challenges so I would think that it would be 1-2 days before an reward challenge. He is used to eating and to go a day or two on beans and rice may rob him of some of his power. I think it will also even out the challenges if Morgan is finally eating.

I finally got to watch my tape last night. I had been able to stay away from everything that would let me know who had been voted out. I wouldn't read the thread until I watched my tape.

I really read the show wrong this week. It was a shocker, I didn't think that they would really blow the challange.

Next week should be interesting and I agree that Rupert is going to help strengthen up Morgan because he does have to eat.

I'm with the others, Jon is really annoying and he needs a good slap. I thought his facial expression at the end was very unappropriate.

I was very disappointed that Drake threw the immunity challenge. And I absolutely can NOT stand Jon!!! How I wished they had voted him off instead of Burt. He thinks the the "puppetmaster," sort of like Rob from the last Survivor. But Rob was charming - he didn't get on your nerves. Jon is sooo annoying, esp. when he's been drinking. I certainly hope Drake wises up and if they lose another immunity challenge they get rid of Jon.

I want Rupert to go all the way!!

DISshopkeeper ... I was going to post the same thing about Burton's last words.... I read them yesterday and thought he was so pompous and arrogant .......even if what he said is true I still couldn't believe those full of himself comments ..... but I guess if you're going to do something like this you have to be confident, and he obviously has no problem showing that side of himself !!

I had Burton and Rupert on my tribe too, so I lost big time points this week. It's probably the reason DISers of the Caribbean is in third amongst our teams.

I was really hoping that Jon would go. He's obnoxious enough when he's sober.....even worse when he's been drinking!

I wonder if his middle name is Rob(ert)?

Did anyone notice in the previews for next week when Rupert was holding up the fish he caught? Didn't that look like his spear? Think maybe they, Morgan won reward and they took the spear from Drake? If so, maybe Rupert has switched sides, I can't see him letting his spear go to the other tribe. What do you think?

That would certainly make things interesting, and could turn the game around for Morgan! Drake never should have thrown the challenge!!

Remember in the other preview where Drake is talking and saying they are worried about Rupert telling their secrets? I would have to say that Morgan wins a RC with Rupert's help, takes the spear as their pirate plunder, which ticks Drake off.....

I am thinking along the same lines. I think Rupert definately has something to do with them taking the spear as opposed to maybe taking their tarp back or a water pot instead. But, if they take the spear, it stays there even if Rupert returns to Drake, which makes me believe Rupert might stay with the Morgan tribe.

When does the merge traditionally take place? MB has really been mixing it up the past couple of Survivors and it's hard for me to remember...... is it usually with 12 members of both tribes? Or is it 10?

Morgan could have sent someone like Tijuana or Darrah over to get the spear, wihtout telling Rupert what they were doing. But - how did Morgan know they had the spear unless Rupert told them - and is that why Drake is mad and suspicious of Rupert now??

I am hoping for a merge, because I want someone who deserves to win to actually win for the first time ever - and I firmly believe that person is Rupert!!
