Survivor: Palau...official Thread

Janu made an UNBELIEVABLE power play last night-she rocked! She flipped off all the teammates she so disliked with that move! Steph stays!!!

It almost made me wonder if Mark Burnett's crew didn't go to her off-camera and offer her money as an incentive to leave so that they could continue to poise Steph as the darling of the show.

We're so easily manipulable! :rotfl2: :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc

I was just picturing everyone scratching their heads trying to picture Jeff with the girl in the final two (Twila). :rotfl2:

According to Janu in interviews, they turned the camera off during Tribal Council and Jeff asked her what was going on. She was worried if she quit she would lose her place on the jury (and the money). When she was assured she would not, she was willing to lay her torch down.

THURSDAY APRIL 28, 8PM ET/PTON SURVIVOR: PALAU

Some Survivors entertain the idea of forming a secret alliance and persuade a tribemate to join their pact.

This will be the women. We know that they out number the men. But I just don't see it happening. Steph doesn't trust anyone know. And Katie likes to say one thing and then do something else. And Jenn as her aliance with Gregg. But I'm sure that Cayrn would love for it to happen.

A Survivor heeds some advice and makes personal hygiene improvements, delighting the tribe.

What do we think? Maybe the rest of the tribe will be able to talk Tom into letting them use some of the fresh water for a real shower? This might be something that he will do, seeing how it looks like he has HUGH target on his back after winning back to back IC.

As the game nears its conclusion, three castaways formulate individual strategies for surviving the upcoming Tribal Council.

Guess this would be Tom, Ian, and Gregg. I think they will get wind of the hopeful aliance of the women. So I'm sure they will try to weasle in.

WARNING! WARNING!! Presidential press conference scheduled for 8:30 EST tonight!!!

The nerve of W, scheduling a press conference right smack in the middle of Survivor! I'm sure the network is scrambling to deal with this--haven't heard what yet. But, I thought it would never happen that I would be joining the liberals and calling for a recall effort! We need a president with the right priorities!

Survivor will probably be moved to 9:00. I hope! If they dont move it, I will personally call W up and ask him to re-schedule.

'hey W whats goin on.... yeah aengus here, about this press conference thingy...'

I hope that Survivor is moved or delayed. I have been enjoying this version more than I have enjoyed any of the last couple of seasons.

:scared1: No! That's when Apprentice is on!

The only night that would be good for W to hold a press conference for me is on Friday or Saturday evenings. Otherwise, it's going to interfer with:

Monday: Nanny 911, Everybody Loves Raymond, Supernanny
Tuesday: American Idol, The Amazing Race
Wednesday: American Idol (I guess W could have a press conference at 8 and I would be OK with that as long as it was over by 9)
Thursday: Survivor
Sunday: Extreme Home Makeover, Desperate Housewives

I watch WAAYYYYY to much TV!

I really hope it's not lost entirely, and that my DVR will catch it!

Maybe they'll replay on Sat?

I'm with you on that one. But for me the only good day for Mr. Empty Head to show up on my TV is Sat. That is the day I am out of the house or I'm watching shows that I had to tape during the week. I do have a dead hour on Mon from 8 to 9pm or on Wed from 8 to 9pm.

Will this just stinks!!! I missed last week, and then this week this! I hope something happens and he is not able to waste my time tonight!

But they can't move Survivor to 9pm because that is when CSI is suppose to be on!!! I CAN'T MISS MY CSI!!!! And then at 10pm I have With Out a Trace and ER.

I SAY WE ALL CALL THE WHITE HOUSE AND TELL THEM TO DO IT ON ANOTHER NIGHT!

don't worry everybody......we'll get to see Survivor....sometime. they won't continue without showing what is going on. keep faith!

I was just watching the local CBS news and they had "breaking" news about Survivor. They said it will be on at 8pm (central time), but after that they didn't know how the CBS schedule would be affected. The way he said it made it sound like CBS was scheduling, not just our local affiliate. So, I'm guessing it's just bumped back an hour for everyone. And don't bank on your DVRs to realize the schedule change. I think you're going to have to manually set it.

Wow, I guess it is evident what's important in the World huh...that is pretty sad! I have absolutely no problem with the president interrupting programming--after all people regardless of how you voted or feel, he is the President. What I don't like is the 30 minutes after for commentary and analysis...the networks will usually come back with--no back to Survivor ALL READY IN PROGRESS. That may work for some shows, but NOT Survivor. You have to see it ALL.

Unless it is on the schedule the DVR won't recognize it. TiVo is really good about picking op changes, but only if they are made to the schedule and I don't think this is going to be that what. I always tape since I have it on Season Pass, but it looks like its on manual tonight--I will listen to GW, but goodness there is no need to tape it that is for sure!!

I have no problem if the President wants to schedule Prime Time NEws conferences. The problem is, this president has a habbit of scheduling stuff like this last minute. It is a major pain for the networks to have to scramble and reschedule the commercials and programming. It is also a pain for those of us who would rather read about what he said in the paper.

So since I am at work and can't re-set my TiVo, I have no idea whether or not I will be able to watch this episode of Survivor. If Apprentice gets pushed back, at least I can record it on CNBC.
