Survivor - Guatemala

I missed the end of the reunion show. Did they show who voted for Steph and who for Dani?

And did they say where the next Survivor will be held? :confused3
I'm not sure they said that but someone here posted that Steph only got one vote (Rafe), but I don't know where that info came from.

The next Survivor looks so cool. It's in Panama and subtitled "Exile Island". From what it looks, some castaways might be exiled (alone) for certain periods of time on a small isolated island. But, there was something about a "key" to winning could be found on that island.

An island of the cost of Panama. The next season is called Survivor - Exile Island. They said the new twist is sending the cast offs to exile rather than the producer resort.

I thought they were sending the ones still playing out to that island for a night or several nights at a time.

Can't wait to see what that is all about.

Looks exciting. :teeth:

Not cast offs but current tribe members

I still don't know why Stephanie and Bobby John were allowed back. Afterall, what did they do that was so special except be the strongest members of the tribe that lost more than any other tribe in the history of Survivor. Not a glowing endorsement in my mind.
I think the producers were just looking for a twist and bigger ratings. A lot of people liked Steph from here previous appearance.

Here's what was said about it....

Each week at least one castaway will be banished to this island, seperate from their tribemates for days at a time in one of the most unforgiving environments yet. This island will be a place to be feared. But, something hidden on the rocky shore may be the key to the million dollars and title of "Sole Survivor". The 16 castaways will be divided into tribes in a way never before seen before.

Ooh, this looks so cool!!!!!!

I should have said that was my guess. We'll see if it's people still in the game or the people voted off.

Jeff said the key to winning the million is on the island, so it would have to be people who are not voted out. And it says "days at a time" which tells me that they go back to camp.

I'm not sure you'll really have to worry about that, krdisneybound. I think this might be Danni's swan song. I don't think she's going to be as successful turning her win into anything to further her sportscasting career more than it would have had she not gone on Survivor.

I disagree. She already had a job with one of the Kansas City sports radio stations. Lots of the sports radio guys here also have ties to the television stations. I'm sure she will get some tv work out of it. Now it may only be the proverbial 15 minutes of fame. If she's good, she could be around for a while in Kansas City. She might not break out of that market, but I don't know if she really wants to leave Kansas City. She seems pretty happy here.

Maybe, but it also wouldn't be the first time they gave people a second chance after being voted out.

Like I said, just a guess. "Each week at least one castaway" could be those voted out.

Yeah, if the producer's like you, there is no telling what they will do to help you along. Look at how Rupert ended up with a million dollars after all, by having the "fan favorite" contest. They knew right well who would win, hands down.

I was bummed that Danni won. I was rooting for Steph. It's funny she was my favorite all along and I thought all of America's as well. I guess not. LOL.

I thought Steph looked great. My dh said the same thing about her lips. It thought so too but then as someone said I looked at her promo pic on the website and they look the same. They must have just got all dried up in the jungle. Something was up with them though because she was doing something weird with her tongue.

I am really suprised that Steph only got one vote. I thought it would be the Richard Hatch kind of deal where they did not like her but respected how she played the game.

I don't know if she only got one vote, but when they showed the jurt voting, they showed Rafe voting for her and making a comment about her (I son't remember exactly what, but something to the effect of her being the best player).

i am always suprised at everyones take on the show. I really disliked Stephanie this time. She was whiney, negative, confrontational. She complained about her team. Then when things began to go her way, she was arrogant and obnoxious. The way she got into it with Lydia, I lost all respect for her. Danni on the other hand was very honest. She never made any of the decisions, but the numbers were against her so she went along. But, she wasn't the one who decided. Yes, she did tell what Judd said about Stephanie and Rafe, but if you have a DVR and you have that show, you will see she did not lie. Everything she said he said, he said.

YES! I am so siked that Danni won. She played a very calculated game. Everyone underestimated her and she did it! (Yay)!

Steph did not deserve to win. I liked her last year, but I get real tired of tears and complaints. And, when Steph wasn't crying or complaining, she was acting like the "best thing in Guatemala." She was way too cocky (the fab 6) - it seems that fate has a heart.

Was Rafe the only vote she got? I didn't see if Jeff explained the voting results.

I knew Steph would not get Gary, BobbyJon, Jamie, Lydia and Judd's vote. I wasn't sure about Cindy and knew that Rafe would vote for her. Am I right?

Oh, I liked Judd's comment to Danni during the Q&A at TC. He asked her to tell him when she lied in the game...she said she lied to Jamie, because she did not want to tell him he was being voted out, and the same thing about another person, not that she lied, but left out crucial information about how the vote was going to go. TWO incidents. Judd immediately says "So, it seems to me, you have been lying all over the place" :confused3 :rotfl2:

Boy, they thought Jamie lost his mind, Judd lost his! What was his obsession about lying? I liked the comment someone here made about him telling everyone he actually won the game. 1st of all, any Survivor contestant that is walking around blabbing that he won, you know is WRONG, they sign confidentiality agreements up the WAZOO, is he that dumb?

Am I the last to know about Jeff and Julie from Vanauatu? I just saw one of those "ET, or Insider" shows that said how they went together to the final episode of Guatamala last night. He was saying how he never thought he would meet anyone, since he is always away on location somewhere, and then met Julie. He said something about finding someone to spend the rest of his life with, and looked really happy.

Yes, you are the last to know. They've been photographed together numerous times and Jeff always finds a way to mention her on TV interviews. When he fills in for Regis, Kelly is always asking about Julie. He's very cute when he talks about her, you can just tell that she's 'the one'. Kinda like Tom and Katie only without the couch, the sonogram and the kool-aid!:rotfl2:
