Survivor - Guatemala

Yes, you are the last to know. They've been photographed together numerous times and Jeff always finds a way to mention her on TV interviews. When he fills in for Regis, Kelly is always asking about Julie. He's very cute when he talks about her, you can just tell that she's 'the one'. Kinda like Tom and Katie only without the couch, the sonogram and the kool-aid!:rotfl2:

Anyone have a link to a picture of them together?

Thanks to google...

Don't worry, I didn't know either ;) Here is an interesting story I found online about their relationship and his future hosting the show.

Survivor producer Mark Burnett expects next spring's 12th edition of Survivor will be the last for its host, Jeff Probst – and a former female contestant from that granddaddy of reality shows may replace him.

"I believe in my gut that he will move on," producer Mark Burnett told TV Guide about Probst, according to RealityTVWorld.com, adding that Burnett "half-nodded" when asked if Probst would be replaced by a former female player from the show.

Burnett's statement preceded Probst's announcement on Live with Regis and Kelly that the rumors were untrue that he was leaving Survivor because he was in love with Survivor: Vanuatu's Julie Berry and his contract was expiring after "Survivor 12."

CREDIT: JOE PUGLIESEEarlier this month, Probst, 43, told PEOPLE about Berry, 24: "I finally met someone who could teach me about love. Julie's given me a sense of balance I've never had. It's like fingers interlacing."

Berry, whom Probst waited to ask out until the game was over (she came in fifth place during season nine), is equally smitten. "Everything is a brighter shade," says the former youth mentor from Maine. "We complement each other beautifully."

As for his Survivor job, Probst told PEOPLE that he was unsure about whether he'll renew.

"There's the inevitable point where you go, 'Do I want to do other things?'" he said. "But like I told someone the other day, I don't want to be the David Caruso of reality TV. I'll never have as good a job as Survivor."

I saw on ET the other night that he has signed on for 2 more seasons. Panama, and one more.....

Thats good, I like him. :)

As long as they don't replace him with Stephanie...... :earboy2:

I thought Steph's reply to Lydia's question at tribal council was so rude. We just looked at each other with our mouths open. Didn't she say something to the effect that she kept Danni in the game and voted her out because she wanted to go up against the best? She all but said it would be no victory to beat Lydia because she was worthless as a player.

Also did ya'll notice at the end of the maze challenge when Lydia came up with the final piece of her puzzle Steph rolled her eyes. I don't think she's a nice person and I'm surprised an extremely nice person like Rafe thinks so highly of her.

ITA!! We couldn't believe how RUDE her answer to Lydia was. I mean, you are pleaing for a million dollars and you're going to tell someone that they are a weak player and unworthy of being against you. She said she knew she would beat Lydia and didn't think it would be as great of a win to beat a weak player. Um, hello! If you said that to me, you would not be getting my vote, for sure :rotfl:

I really disliked Stephanie this time... She was whiney, negative, confrontational. She complained about her team. Then when things began to go her way, she was arrogant and obnoxious. The way she got into it with Lydia, I lost all respect for her. Danni on the other hand was very honest. She never made any of the decisions, but the numbers were against her so she went along. But, she wasn't the one who decided.
I think you've unraveled the quandary. It is very easy -- truly essential -- to be the nice guy/gal when your only chance of winning is staying out of everyone's gun-sights. Danni played the game in Guatamala that Steph played in Palau, so yes she appears as a "darling". If you listen to what Danni said, though, you'll understand that she played that way because she had no other choice. Gary said it out-right: You cannot expect to play a non-confrontational game and win, without getting very very lucky. Danni demonstrated, when she picked to bring Steph to the Final Two, how she would have played the entire game, if it were she, rather than first Gary and then Steph, in the position of power, and unremarkably, she would have played it exactly as Steph played it this time.

Incidently, Jeff Probst has signed on though 2008 -- that's FIVE more seasons, including Panama, not just two.

Yes we noticed the eye rolling! I could NOT believe how rude that was, here's Lydia being positive and at least doing her best. I think you're right and that shows that she's just not a nice person. I understand that people would get on your nerves but come on!

And Rafe - what's up with him? Telling Danni that she's out of her obligation and then saying he voted against her because she didn't take him :confused3 His confused attempt at manipulation sure didn't work.

Gotta love Survivor!! :cheer2:

It's the truth. A victory means more if you beat the best. Means nothing to beat the last place player/team.

Please realize that Survivor is edited -- that we're not actually seeing everything in real time.... Mark Burnett's mastery is that he can pull together thousands of hours of filming into an interesting story. He doesn't limit himself to producing a journalistic account of what happened on the island...

Lydia all but admitted at the reunion what her role was in camp and how little she added otherwise. If she can handle it, you think the people at home would be able to. :confused3

I think Danni made a mistake in admitting she wouldn't have taken Rafe to the final two even if he hadn't let her out of the promise. She should have kept that little bit of info to herself!

Rafe didn't relieve her of her promise just so she could take Stephanie. He relieved her so he could sit back and see who she would really choose. he was still hoping she would choose him. It was a test, and in his opinion, she failed it.

And something he could speak to the jury about had she picked him to come along.

When I heard him say it I thought he was being sincere, I didn't think it was a test or trying to get her to do anything until I heard him talking about it later. I just thought wow, he really is that nice of a guy.

Little confused here - Lydia did say she wasn't good at the challenges and she viewed herself as a nurturer and positive person. What I got from that was that she didn't expect to win. What I didn't get from her was that it was okay for people to be rude to her.

I'm glad Danni won. I didn't like her in the beginning, but I think she played well especially when the numbers were against her.

Now, I'm waiting for Survivor: Antarctica. I think this would be great. Dog sled racing, ice fishing, etc. I can see it now. Or how about Survivor: NYC. They have to live homeless in NYC, find shelter, etc. Great television.

Judd was rude to people. People talked about Lydia's abilities and value honestly. There is a difference IMO.

If you want to blame somebody for being rude, blame Jeff for the pointed questions. Seemed pretty obvious he was doing anything possible to get comments about how Lydia was not deserving of the final four (which I agree with).
