I definitely think AR got a lot more viewers by casting Romber. But I can't help but also think they have been at a greater advantage over the other racers since they've had so many people recognize them and want to help. That guy last night in England was running all over the place showing them where to go. In a way it's not fair to the other couples.

I do think they will win, but I'm still rooting for U&J too.

They've been recognized on several legs of the race and complete strangers have agreed to help them. That guy in London last night was running all over the place showing them where to go! In a way it's not very fair.

I do think they will win, but I'm still rooting for U&J. It doesn't matter to me as long as it's not Kelly. She is SO hateful and rude to Ron. And lately he's been pretty rude right back. Can't say I blame him though.

I wonder if the other contestants have even asked a local to come with them. It seems as though Rob finds someone who can speak English (not too hard to do in England ), and latches onto them. I haven't seen the other teams try to get someone to accompany them.

Rob is just street smart. He uses the resources around him and also uses his common sense. I think his cockiness might be his undoing though, such as when he "helped" two teams catch an earlier flight, simply by saying something to them that he thought wasn't true. I love Rob and Amber, but thought it was funny that he was trying to make them think there was earlier flight, just to play with their heads, and then it turns out that there really WAS!!!

Tuesday's episode was great. Eventhough Gretchen's whining got on my nerves at times (I just wanted to shake her) I still missed seeing M&G go.

However, it looks like next week R&A's luck is running out (judging from the previews, a cop stops and gives them a ticket)

We'll have to wait and see.

Don't forget U&J get a flat tire too. Should be a great episode. I agree with the post above about using your resources available. I don't recall exactly, but I think they just asked the guy to come with them and he said yes. I don't think it was a celebrity recognition thing, but I could be wrong.

Editing is everything on this show. They can make a crisis situation out of nothing or a close race out of a longshot. I think that the previews were intended to create the impression that R&A are in trouble to increase viewership. We won't really know until we see the show.

AR previews have been known to make things appear they are worse than they really are. Plus because of the editing, it's almost impossible to tell how much time is between contestants.

And some of the road blocks or detours can take minutes or hours. Remember the one when the friends had to find a clue in the rolls of hay? Every team came and went and Phil finally showed up to let them stop since they were the last team. How they kept missing or picked the ones without a clue is unbelievable. I felt so bad for that team. I think this was maybe AR4 or AR5, I can't remember.

M's whining was really getting to me. I wanted them to do well but I couldn't stand that.

I cannot believe how they are portraying Ron & Kelly. They appear to hardly ever get along and know how to push each others buttons. The comment she made about him getting out of everything he does or quitting was hurtful. I hope we get to find out how they are and what they are doing after the finale.

I know how we can keep this thread going. Put Rob and Amber from AR, Craig and either Tana or Kendra from Apprentice (whoever loses), the last two from Survivor, Flava Flav and Vanilla Ice all in the Big Brother house and see what happens.

What are some other combos we could have? Maybe Contender boxers and whoever is voted out has to box one of the Contenders to stay in? Now that's some reality tv.

for the AR Dysfunctional Couples of past races show. Gotta have Jonathan and Victoria (Mr. and Mrs.Entreprenuer) on there from last race, as well as Lori and Bollo,the wrestlers. (gee, those two sure were in shape!) Lori was awful to Bollo...you sure knew who wore the shorts in that family!
I can just hear it now for next weeks race when R&A get pulled over....But officer don't ya know who we are????
It looks like a race to the finish for sure. The look ahead has Rob carrying Amber on his back and running. This should be interesting!!

I am for Romber also, they really do deserve to win, they played the game. Feel bad for Uchenna and Joyce, they were also really good.

Head to head I think U&J can beat R&A - Uchenna is tough as nails, has a great attitude, and has a good head on his shoulders; Joyce for all her emotion is a real gamer (I wonder if Amber would have shaved her head???); and together they're flat out a better team than R&A. Plus if anything they're even luckier than R&A. If it's head to head and R&A's celebrity factor is effectively nullified (e.g., they're in an isolated race where locals can't help) then I think U&J have the edge.

Of course, the whole R&K mess could have been a huge editing smokescreen - I could see them blow everyone away (but I don't think so).

My bet would be 1) U&J 2) R&A 3) Mickey and Minnie (after that ugly spat over Minnie blowing her fashion budget and Mickey mingling just a little too long w/Jessica Rabbit at the Disney character Christmas party) 4) R&K.
