Survivor *Cagayan* BvBvB Next Wed 2/26!

I spend about six hours in the car each week so it's fun to listen to the Survivor and Amazing race podcasts. I listened to the "Rob has a podcast" (former Survivor Rob Cestrinino) segment that had Richard Hatch and Parvarti on it just yesterday. I heard Parvarti say that about Tasha/Spencer not having the alliance. I really thought they did too. I think it would be awesome to have both Spencer & Tony as the finalists to hear their arguments for why they should win. As you said, Spencer has came through every time he had to while Tony pretty well controlled most of the game albeit not very subtlely.

I'm hope Spenser wins as well, not so much because of the underdog thing but because he has been brilliant when he needed to be. He's planted seeds to get the vote away from him and won crucial immunities to save himself. He has made it to final 4 and never had a true alliance. If you listen to Tasha's interview with Parvarti after her boot, he and Tasha did not even have an alliance.
It's certainly been a fun season to watch though. Tony has played really hard but he had numbers on his side the whole time so really he played harder than he even needed to. It will be an interesting finale for sure.

I think they may be doing a final two based on Jeff Probst comments on EW.com, or maybe I am reading too much into it.

"Woo would have to finish strong and then choose wisely. If he puts himself against the right person, I think Woo could charm his way to the money because he really hasn’t made any enemies'

And

"As for the finale itself, still more surprises to come regarding how it finishes and two of the most exciting challenges of any finale."

I noticed he used the word person instead of people, then talks about two challenges. One could be a reward, but with 4 people I think it will be two immunity challenges.
The possibility exists I am a complete idiot and have no idea what I am talking about too.

I'd like to see a final immunity challenge with 4 people. And right before it starts, Jeff announces that last place automatically is eliminated on the spot. Winner gets immunity at final vote to bring it to 2.

That would be interesting, but loser leaving kinda stinks because the tribe didn't speak.
I don't really like the final three because one of the three never gets a vote, I get why they changed it to mix things up, so switching back to final two now would be a surprise to the players. Tony getting to the final 3 may feel really comfortable, then he would go nuts finding out another immunity challenge will happen.
At this point I am rooting for Spencer to win, I think he has played a pretty good game (well at least the show is edited to seem that way) and Tony has been playing hard since day one. Some dumb things, but still playing hard. Cass I'm kinda of Eh about, it doesn't seem like she has done much to deserve to win, again editing may be a factor, and Woo hasn't done much either, maybe due to the edit. No matter what happens, sad another season is coming to an end, but looking forward to seeing who wins just the same.

I dislike final 3 because it leaves open the possibility of a tie. Then again, maybe that's what the producers have been wanting. Make fire for $1,000,000 :rotfl2:

You think people complain about the show being rigged now? There would be no end to accusations of rigging if they eliminated someone at final 4 without the tribe voting. I'm sure it's hard to get a challenge that isn't pure luck that doesn't favor a certain body type whether it's small feet or low center of gravity, strong arms, etc. Many people have complained in the past about these types of things, but at least the tribe gets a vote to balance it out.

I think Tony is playing for more than the game. I really feel he is soaking up as much as possible so he will get asked back.

Point take about challenges favoring certain body types.

Then again, I'd love for actual SURVIVAL skills to become a more prominent role in the show again.

It's pretty well known that sometimes you don't want to win a reward challenge. There is often a twist that puts you in the awkward situation of having to chose who to share the reward with. While I agree that the mud challenge favors Tony's build, he won by such a large margin that I wonder if any of the others were even trying.

I was always hoping for a tie too. Bummed it never happened.

Anyone watching tonight? I'm waiting for my friend to get home to start the show so I'll be running a little behind.

What a great end to a fantastic season. Tony deserved the win, glad he got it! All around, a great season. Can't wait for September and season 29!

Blood vs. Water 2 is supposed to be all new players again, should be fun...

I always wondered why nobody ever said, "I'll take whoever was in 2nd place" so they don't HAVE to choose.

All season long people were comparing Tony to Russell Hantz. I hope we can put that one to rest now.

Tony was a good player and a GREAT character. He was constantly turning the game upside down but never in the malicious way that Russell did. He created as much chaos as Russell did but didn't create a bitter jury in the process. He also showed that he was at least as good at finding idols as Russell was. I didn't love Tony. I don't think he's among the greatest players ever. However, he is certainly superior to Russell Hantz. Russell played three times and never won. Tony won the game on his first time out.

Now, Russell is on twitter trying to pitch a Russell vs. Tony season? There is nothing to prove there. Tony > Russell. Done.

I'd like to point out that the lack of bitterness toward Tony wasn't just because of the nature of the people on the jury. They seemed to be plenty bitter toward Kass. :rotfl:
