Survivor 34: Game Changers

While I was sad to see Ozzie go, I was pretty sure that it was going to happen soon anyway. I think that they should have taken out Zeke. He has studied this game for years and is pretty darn crafty. Sierra is the one that I can't stand right now. I know that Debbie isn't a fan favorite but I think that I could stand her more than I could Sierra. I don't like anybody who thinks that they are in control of the game at all times because we all know that just ain't happening. You are in control at times but never all the time.

Just curious, since this is my 1st season to watch, what happens if the vote results in a tie? How do they break it?

I don't blame them for voting Ozzy out but I hated to see him go. He was the favorite with our family. We knew his time was marked but still.

Dh said, "Why don't any of the others even try to learn to fish? This isn't their first season. Why wouldn't they want to know how to catch food? Especially if they are going to vote off the only person that could?!"

With her extra vote, Ozzie had 7 votes to Zeke's 4.

Now that you say that i think Troyzan does have one. I was thinking I miss counted the votes last night.

In the past they would first re-vote but they could only vote for the 2 that were tied. If it is stilled tied they can discuss it over and try to pick one of them. If it is still tied then the person with the immunity is save and the 2 that were in the tie are save. Everyone else picks a rock and the one with (i think) black rock goes home. For some reason I think this is changed for this season but I am not for sure.

I also don't get the votes for the 1st TC. Like why Cirie had to vote Michaela and how her, Cirie's, plan worked with her voting Michaela. Stuff was missing in editing...again.

Cirie had to vote Michaela so her tribe members would be assured that she (Cirie) wasn't flipping. She knew that Michaela would be safe because she knew that most of the votes would be going toward Hali. (The only exception would be if Hali did have an immunity idol and played it.) She asked Michaela to vote for Zeke so the other tribal members would not know that Cirie had told Michaela the plan.

Also, I hated that the spa day was sponsored by Marshalls. Keep advertising out of the show.

I did. I actually mentioned it my husband wondering how she could have such long nails while playing this game.

Even my husband noticed that. Her eyebrows look like they are tattooed on.

Does anyone have an idea what is up with Sierra's eyebrows? Are they tattooed on? They look like they are drawn on but no way is she doing that every day out there.

I think they are tattooed on. If you'll look closely, there are blond hairs growing through the dark eyebrows too.

I would guess it came from the paint they received to create the new tribe's flag.

This season a tie goes right to rocks so they are trying to avoid that. I think the show made this change to keep them from splitting the vote but my guess is if it went to tie last night, say 5 to Ozzy and 5 to Zeke, with the one for Aubry and one for Sierra then they'd all get to revote for Sierra and Aubry (but I am not sure on that revote...just what I am thinking). Maybe that's why Cirie voted Sierra thinking it would be a tie and then Sierra would go??? But Zeke voted Aubry and I am guessing one other voted Ozzy that was supposed to vote Zeke???

Gels last at least 3 weeks without any knicks or chips. I am betting that is what they are.

It's old school Survivor in a game that has evolved, but I was hoping Ozzy's provider role would keep him around longer. I was sad to see him go, and the fact that Debbie orchestrated the move makes it worse. Is it bad to hope she does something really stupid (like breaking or losing fishing gear, resulting in everyone being especially miserable and hungry) and they blame her and turn on her?

JMO, but flipping the script and making a move just to prove you can isn't always the resume builder players seem to think it is, and I feel keeping Ozzy around longer would have been smarter game play for many of the folks out there. Maybe my opinion is being influenced by what I wanted to see as a viewer though.

I'm afraid choosing a winner this season may come down to who is least objectionable of the ones left, and I can think of several scenarios where I would be hard pressed to choose anyone I'd be even remotely OK with.

Talk about advertising, the last two survivors standing get to eat at Ponderosa. I saw it on the official Survivor Facebook page today. I also wish they wouldn't bring in advertising to the shows. Big Brother had Outback Steakhouse.

Anyone watch the Ponderosa? Why did Hali only lose 2.4 lbs?? That's baffling.
