Anyone watch the Ponderosa? Why did Hali only lose 2.4 lbs?? That's baffling.

New to this thread but Ozzy was catching them a ton of protein is probably how.

The little things you notice. Did anybody notice Sierra's nicely painted blue nails? I'm sorry, after three weeks of Survivor ones nails shouldn't look so perfect.

I saw that - but also saw they were grown out quite a bit at the cuticles. I bet they're gel.

That's true. It coukd also be that Hali ate more then Ozzy not worrying about what it looked like to the tribe. Would have to look at how many reward challenges each one won as well.

I had to rewind and rewatch the scene after Hali fell from the pole several times as she walked over to take her seat. Nice...
Ozzie got voted off, but is at Ponderosa with Hali, which is a pretty good trade.

YES!!! I can't stand her.... We've watched from the beginning when the players were literally starving to death. The nail polish and her eye brow perfection drives me crazy!

Loved Ozzy the first time, HATED him the second time (came off very smug), somewhere in the middle this time. That smugness came back out after the vote & his look back at the tribe. Not at all sorry to see him go.

I don't blame him for looking back at them like that. Seems like they all relied on him to do all the work. That look didn't really come off smug to me so much as it said, 'Are you guys serious right now?! You don't like food?! You are not good with eating?! Okay, then. Dumb move but okay.' JMO.

I read it the same way you did, but to me, that IS being smug.

What is so hard about fishing-Debbie should have to pick up the fishing job now, it was her suggestion to vote out Ozzie.
She was so smug-like no one else had that idea?
Tai let go of the the balancing challenge-he knew he had 2 idols. I just wish he would of done the same for Ozzie-but it was a matter of pride for Tai.

I was kind of shocked Ozzy thought he was how they all eat. Every single one of them has played before and some of those guys definitely know how to fish. I think they were just letting Ozzy do all the work because he was and they could save their energy around camp. I don't think the tribe is going to start starving because Ozzy is out, I think Ozzy was just being used to make him feel comfortable.

I don't know. Past seasons they have had trouble fishing. They use spear thing that is hard to shoot. Remember that one time someone claimed he could do it as as easily as Rupert. He took spear thing and let it fall apart in ocean and lost important piece. Rupert was livid. That guy, forget who it was, did find the piece. Maybe it wasn't Rupert.... was it Ken and Dave???? Edit: It was Rupert and Shawn and Rupert found the lost piece.

I am shocked that Debbie was able to pull that off and get so many people to vote her way. I just didn't think she had the influence.

Same! I feel like she did that her first season and it backfired on her big time.

Just curious, since this is my 1st season to watch, what happens if the vote results in a tie? How do they break it?

Originally, the tiebreaker was as follows:
All of the castaways EXCEPT the two who are in the tie get to vote a second time. If the vote ends in a tie again, then it goes to a discussion and the tribe has to decide, unanimously, which of the two goes home. If they can't decide and it's deadlocked, then they draw rocks. All the castaways - except the immunity holder and I believe the two who were voted for (they become safe) - draw rocks and the one with the odd rock goes home. I THINK.

This year they're doing the tiebreaker differently. If there is a tie, there will be no re-vote and they will go right to discussion to try to come up with a unanimous decision. Then I assume it goes to rocks if necessary.

Even my husband noticed that. Her eyebrows look like they are tattooed on.

They are tattooed on! As for her nails... get gel nails and they last a solid two weeks but there is SO MUCH cuticle growth that they look silly. I feel like her nails should look ridiculous right now, but they just look ridiculously good.

Some other thoughts (I watched it late due to a make-up class on Wed. night).

My mom asked me who I thought would volunteer not to eat. I was like, "Tai for sure because that's his M.O. and Culpepper because why not." Nailed it!!

I'm glad Michaela survived her first tribal. I like the dynamic of her and Cirie. I hope it goes somewhere.

The second that Jeff made a big deal of Ozzy being undefeated in that challenge I knew he was in trouble. Same thing happened with the previous challenge where he said a woman had never won and then bam! Andrea won!

I'm bummed for Ozzy. I liked him.
