Interesting nugget I found in People:

Wow, I share those sentiment EXACTLY, Richard. This is one of many reasons I have no problem with Russel losing. The guy was a total d-bag to all the jury members and forgot that the difficulty of winning survivor is being able to balance between being likable and evil at the same time. He was too evil to win over the jury, as we all saw on the finale. I don't want to spark a Russel debate again, but I did think it was important to have the original winner shed some light on the situation.
Hopefully Russel learns from S19. He knows how to get to the end of the game unlike any contestant I have seen in this game. Now he just has to learn how to stop burning his bridges. Season 20 should be interesting. I'm giddy with excitement.
