I disagree with Jeff's assessment of Rupert being a hypocrite because of aligning with Russell. I mean, Candice aligned with the villans when the heroes had a chance! It was equal on both sides, wasn't it? Down to 2 heroes, what choice does Rupert have but to take Russell's offer? It will EXTEND the heroes life to do so, not betray any of the remaining heroes (Colby).

I am now on Russell's side - I really dislike Danielle so good for him for getting her out.

Colby and Rupert had very....opinionated opinions regarding Candice's disloyalty for aligning with Russell just the day before. (only 1 day elapsed between Amanda's vote from last week's episode to the first challenge and vote of this week's episode).

So to go from complaining that very morning about how awful Candice is and then to turn around and do the same thing--that is what Probst was referring to as hypocritical.

I don't think Jeff has a problem with strategizing to get where you need to be to stay in the game--it's the "holier than thou" lectures that bug him and lead him to declare a player a hypocrite when they turn around and do the same thing.

I kind of disagree with his backlash at Colby's Tribal Council lecture--Candice was more waffling than strategizing and I agree with Cobly that her second answer was much better than the first. (heroes going down and she needing to do what she could to stay in the game).

It was more of the fact that Rupert plays this "honest, integrity driven character and everything else is evil...he would never play that way" type pf thing. But yet he is more than happy to align with Russell if it serves his purpose.

Kind of like an evangelist telling you of the evil of prostitution in his sermon but getting caught with one later that night.

Sandra found a piece of paper, not an idol. She didn't have time to read it and put it away. What did it say? We don't know.

It would be funny if it said:

I was just telling the person that said she only found a piece of paper--that the piece of paper wrapped another package and that is wasn't a piece of paper by itself.

I knew that, I forget that there is a lot that is missed when you just type and tend to type the way I talk. Sorry bout that.

See for me just showing up and hanging around isn't enough. Or it shouldn't be. There have been players that have been complete underdogs and managed to turn the game upside down based on their own actions. I don't see any of that in Colby or Rupert. I think they've survived only because the villians decided to go after someon else.

I'd be really disappointed if either of them won unless they start doing something to control their own destiny.

I feel that way as well, just rolling out when it is time for the vote doesn't cut it. I think that Colby is hanging on but I really think Rupert is playing but has made some moves that are ridiculous. If he can step it up and continue to make smart moves good for him! Personally, I think that thebiggest mistake some of these guys made was strategizing way too early. I know that you need to play with an alliance in mind but they tried to take out strong players on their own team before the merge and lost their advantage.

Let me be really clear about something. I do not root for Russell. I do not root against Rupert. I do not root for or against anybody. I merely observe and comment. Russell makes no bones about how he plays. Neither for that matter does Parvati or Sandra. They play hard and they know it could cost them in the game. What is annoying me (now I’m the one losing my mind!) is the holier than thou crap spewing out of people’s mouths. Rupert just proved the point better than any rant I could ever make. He’d team up with Russell right now if he thought it would get him to the end. To repeat, there is nothing wrong with changing strategies, but the lectures about right v wrong have grown tired.

She found the idol. At one point, you could the green carved portion of it when she was trying to hide it.

Edited to add... I just rewatched the video online. At about the 12:12 mark, Sandra is opening the package the she found. As she unfolding the paper, the green immunity necklace is in her left hand. It looks just like the others ones that have been played already in the game.

And Sandra did say at one point when Russell said he knew Rupert had found the idol, that she knew it wasn't true b/c she had found it. And she said that it was "too big" to hide - and a piece of paper could have been folded up small to hide.
I don't think I've chimed in on this thread as of yet, but I just have to say that up until this season Colby & Rupert had been some of my favs, and this season they are more annoying to me than before. They are definitely not playing this game like they have in the past (IMO), and I am surprised they are still there. As sneaky as Russell can be he plays the game AWESOME.

I think that it would be fun if Russell accidently found the idol that Sandra hid. It wasn't that far away from where she hit it. You could see Russell in the back ground.

Did anyone see Danielle's Ponderosa video? How is it that she only lost 5 lbs?!?! Wow. Amanda lost 12 lbs.

Also, Candice's Ponderosa video. She completely lied to the others! She told them that Sandra wanted to vote out Amanda and that is why she (Candice) voted her out (Amanda), because she would have been voted out anyway!! What I saw in the show was Sandra begging Candice NOT to vote for Amanda, but then finally she says, "CAndice, just tell me who to vote for!!!"

Candice probably screwed Sandra out of the 1 million if she makes it to the final 3 by lying and no one who comes to the Ponderosa will know any better to inform them of the truth.

Colby has helped his team win a couple of challenges. So has Rupert.

i think that sandra deserve's it, she just found and imunity idol and before she saved her and coutney from the vote. she's pretty much alone and is a survivor
