Survivor 20**HvV**No SPOILER THREAD**

Wow, I just watched this weeks episode and now I realize why I STOPPED watching Survivor!

I thought watching the Heroes V Villians would mean there would be smarter contestants. What the heck was the point of getting rid of Randy????? He's not strong but neither is Courtney. Get rid of the threats, you IDIOTS!!!

It's amazing how Survivor can bring out the high school and inanity of people!! :lmao:

Just thought of some strategy that may have been a reason to keep Parvati. I know JT and Tom were touching upon this and they were right....someone who already won the show will NOT win this time unless they are going up against another winner. Therefore it might be in their best interest to keep someone like Parvati around as well as:

Tom
Sandra
JT
Boston Rob (he didn't win, but still got to share the money with Amber)
Russell (he thought he won his season and I am sure that comes out at some point)
Rupert (he won the fan favorite money too and none of the survivors like him, so probably wouldn't get any votes)

Great show last night! Ds and I were cheering for the Heroes during the challenge! How was the match up determined? SO not right that it was Randy vs. James. I think James is losing it a bit- too many steroids?

Would not hurt my feelings at all to see James sent home. This guy has turned into one of the bad ones.:scared1:

Two points:

1. In the 'preview' from last weeks Survivor they showed James having a 'meltdown'. Yet last nights episode had nothing like that.

2. On another website they reported that the villains thought that Randy lost the machete; that when he was accused (apparently by Sandra) of having lost it Randy replied "I am not going to dignify your accusation with a response" or words to that effect. The report links to YouTube (which I can't access on my computer at work) and an apparent interview with Randy. Anyway, that is why everyone voted for Randy.

I was wondering about the "meltdown" too. I don't know what happened- I wanted to see it!! LOL

I remember seeing Tom trying to talk to James and Tom was smiling and James being overly aggressive (or so it seemed) at the challenge. I can't remember what else was shown though.

Next week's preview shows Coach crying...I can't wait to see what causes that.
:thumbsup2

Courtney telling James that he was on the wrong tribe was GOLD!

Yeah get rid of the strong people and the smart people! They help you win challenges, that's bad!

I would wait until the merge to get rid of threats.

@ AlienBrain... Parvati isn't pretty? Are you KIDDING me? I know beauty is subjective, but calling her "definitely not pretty" is ridiculous.

I'm going to call it right now and say Sandra is going to win again. I really think I'm right with this one.

Did anyone else notice during the challenge that Coach winked at Rupert? It was right when they were facing off to start "fighting" for the second time. They even slowed it down when they showed it. DH replayed it on the DVR just to be sure that we saw it right. Could there be something more here or was Coach just being goofy?

I'd side wih AlienBrain on this one. I don't see what's attractive about her. Skinny alone =/= attractive. And that's all she has going for her if you ask me. I don't think she's pretty at all.

I can't wait to see coach crying next week and complaining to TYSON of all people!!!!:scared1::laughing::rotfl::happytv::rotfl2: That will make for some good TV! Can't wait to hear what Tyson has to say about that!!!

I am glad I found this thread!

I also love Rob. I find Tyson very funny too, but he is getting no camera time! It is all Russell, Coach, Jerri, and Parvati for the villians!

Funny how some get so much camera time, and some you don't even know they are there! (Candace, Sandra, Tyson, Randy, Danielle, Courtney)

In previous seasons, the players who go the farthest often get the least screen time in the beginning of the show. Maybe we'll be seeing Tyson around near the end this time!

Coach is hilariously delusional

You hit the nail on the head with that line! That's exactly what he is. He's cracking me UP this season! I totally hope that he and Jeri hook up.

So Russell hid the machete. :happytv: And he's out to swip Rob's hat next. Wonder if he'll get away with it.

I don't know. His little antics are starting to wear on me. I don't think that move will work with the villains tribe. He's going to have to develop a real strategy to win this season of Survivor, not just steal stuff to try and create tension. 20 bucks says Rob or Parvati already know it was Russel who took the machete.

I think James is losing it a bit- too many steroids?

me, too. I'm so over James this time.

Loved the show last night.

Observations:

1. Boston Rob is the smartest player in the game, but that doesn't necessarily mean he will win (as has been the case in previous seasons). He knows Russel is bad news and was the first one to really notice it. Also, his notes about the sleeping arrangements was interesting.

2. They need to give Tyson more face time. The guy is hilarious. I love his smart a** comments. LOL

3. The Villains tribe was stupid for not voting out Parvati.

4. I still don't understand the "charm" of Parvati. I think Jerri described it best when she talked about how everyone wants her gone, but somehow she is never voted out. She definitely isn't pretty, so I don't understand the charm at all. I think she just plays a good game ... even though I can't stand her.

5. Did anyone notice how Russel is already starting to butter up his tribe at tibal council? Interesing... also I thought it was funny how he dissed the people from his season of Survivor and, at that point, he didn't know that he would end up losing (b/c this was shot prior to the final tribal for S19). His lack of humility amazes me. I honestly think he believes his poop is purple and it tastes like rainbow sherbet.

awesome observations!

I would wait until the merge to get rid of threats.

That would be my strategy, too. Get rid of those threats too early and your tribe loses every challenge into the merge. I have seen that happen way too many times and I hate those seasons!

Right now I want these people to stick around for a while, either because I like them or they are keeping me amused:
Rob, Cerie, Colby, Jeri, Coach, Tyson, Courtney, JT, Russell,

these people can go any time:
Rupert, James, Danielle, Parvati

I'm indifferent to the rest.

Awesome quote from Probst's blog:

FUTURE PLAYERS, HEAR ME WHEN I SAY THIS:
Voting out great players in the second week is idiotic. It almost always works against you. Look at the history of Survivor. When the game starts it is a “team” game. The more you win as a team the longer you are guaranteed to stay in the game. The more you lose, the more you go to tribal council and the more likely you are to be voted out.

I agree if his definition of great players = people who are good at challenges. I think it would be stupid to keep around people who aren't that great at challenges if they are great players on the social side of the game. For instance, if you have two players who are equivalent in challenges, but one is a really good social player, you should cut the great social player.

Something I pointed out to DH - I think they won't have family members visit this season - they were filming as the previous season (with Russell) was on air - the current players have no idea of his game play - if family members came on they'd crack his cover!

Why isn't Russell looking for idols yet? He did it early on during "his" season.

Cirie can go home anytime now. Colby's heart doesn't seem into the game. There are a few people who I see in challenges/at tribal and wonder "are they playing"!

Not really because this season was filmed right after the other, before (season 19) ever aired. I think :confused3 so even if they visited, they had not seen Russel's season just yet.

They had not mentioned any idols at all, well not until the next week preview.

Yes, I saw that too and wondered if he was sending Russell a message or it was an editing trick.

I didn't noticed it. What kind of message?
The editing showed Coach winking at Rupert right before they competed in the challenge. What was the meaning of this we don't know. We're just speculating that it could have been a message of some sort or just the way the film was edited to throw us off. Maybe he has a crush on Rupert. ;)

Oh I see! Hahaha they make a good couple :lmao:
